Popular Post Crunchie
WTF what a couple of hail mary's from @Jok3st3r and @Roger_aka_Roger CONGRATULATIONs!!, both of you with 66/1 winners in the penultimate race sealed the deal on this years podium. @Just Nathan I thought had it sewn up with his max stake 20/1 winner first up. Unlucky, but equally well played, to take on Sir Erec with a win only bet was brave. Our leader for 3 rounds @david1111 just nudged out of the places in the end. Gutting but still an awesome performance from our founding father. And as for the knockout.... GTFIT @Jessr for winning the highly competitive Knockout Cup. So pleased it wasn't a top 3 player that took away the prize. Think @MrUKHackz will fit our 2 winners up with a little trophy under their names, well played and well deserved. Hackz will also sort out the prizes .... usually at the end of the month. Now the thanks... firstly for anyone who entered our biggest comp to date, but really everyone should thank @1pstaker for a fantastic, and time consuming, effort in doing all the scores single handedly. Also to the guys from BIAMo for joining in and adding a little edge to the contest, particularly Hackz's long lost evil twin from the Dark Side @Hacko 1 for organising his Stormtroopers to play ....and a shoutout to his trusty lieutenant @Kev40 Now the boring shit, the next comps will be in 3 weeks. One is our TGC sporting Decathlon for April starting on the 6th which is a comp for all those not into Horse Racing or Footy with a comp containing Darts, Snooker, Motor Racing, MOTO GP, Tennis, Moto GP, Cycling, Athletics and Boxing.....ooo and the Grand National so something for everyone I hope. The next Horse racing comp will be a Knockout Comp centered around the Aintree Grand National meeting starting 4th April. Its open to everyone, its free, so no excuses not to have a go. Finally, due to unforeseen circumstances a couple of places have become available in our season long Footy Comp, reserves are badly needed. As there are monthly prizes, it's never too late to take part, well until April starts. Also a spare place is available in @RichieFCs Rugby League season long comp for anyone interested. The game has only just started there, and there are lots of prizes to have a go at there too. It would be great to have some new faces/avatars taking part. So anyone interested in taking part just head over to the relevant thread and say Im In! I lost to random wheel picks last week and its embarrassing..... so please can someone spare 5 mins a week to take part. Cheers. Shit and remember there is always our weekly Saturday Horse Racing competition always for peeps to take part in, separate thread for that one, starting at Uttoxeter & Kemps tomorrow. Cheers to all the Racing regulars plus @adamuk, @boom185, @roland65 @Bangers @Luke_B_123 @Dj-Wisdom @Nomad Red 7 @Frankie @mistermanga @hooflungpoo and @Denman where were you? but good to have you back in chat ready for the flat season squire. BYE! ......UNTIL 2020.....alledgedly @Marky147 has already started his ante post portfolio 2 9

He wouldn't have won, no, as consistency was more of a key. We had people who had picked a 20/1+ winner and finished on negative scores. Whereas you for example with your consistency would have done quite well using level stake point scoring. I think with your system I wouldnt have picked what I fancied I would have just picked 50+/1 shots in every race with 10 or 20pts win and hoped to have been lucky. As that would be the smartest approach. Edited March 15, 2019 by Guest
Guest
But then its not really a tipping competition, its a who is the luckiest competition. Which is exactly what this was in my humble opinion.
Guest
I would just suggest maybe looking at the format. Not having a go, I know they are time consuming and a bit of a pain in the ass. That one last year that I did on here was the first one on these forums, without about half the participants or less than this year and it was still a pain in the ass. No worries, but you know what they say, better to be lucky than good. The counter argument could be that it means everyone has a chance of winning till the very end keeping it more exciting?? but I get what your saying, but you still got to find that 66/1 winner amongst 20+ riders. Its the only comp i done where everyone plays all days, so gotta keep peeps interested. Cheers squire.

Had to come and see from the PC, looks great. I assume thanks goes to @MrUKHackz for it? Thank you. A little side note re Glastonbury, from their site: CAN I STILL BOOK A TICKET? Quite possibly, yes – don’t give up hope! There will be a resale of any returned coach packages on the evening of Thursday 25th April followed by a general admission resale on the morning of Sunday 28th April. So there is still a small glimmer of hope @Crunchienut

You need super duper broadband to beat these people in London into getting them, but will give it a go. No overly inspired by the bands at the mo, but it's not just about the music at Glasto as there is so much going on.... too much really as you never ever get to do all you plan to do. Thanks for the heads up @Jok3st3r I'll put the date in my reminders. Good Luck when you get your spin, will it be £100 or £200??????
