Mystery British businessman bets $5million on Donald Trump

  • The financier placed his bet with private bookmaker in Curacao in the Caribbean
  • The man is a former-banker and is said to have spoke to 'Trump camp insiders'
  • Experts believe it is the biggest number ever placed on a bet in politics so far
  • If his expensive hunch is successful he could walk away with almost £11.6million

An unnamed British former-banker has bet £3.9million on Donald Trump coming out on top in the US presidential election.

Betting insiders believe the businessman's enormous $5million pledge is the biggest number ever wagered in politics.

The financier - who is based overseas and whose name has not been released - placed his bet with private bookmaker in Curacao in the Caribbean after speaking to 'Trump camp insiders'.

President Trump is running against Democrat Joe Biden in tomorrow's election - and polls are suggesting it will be a nail-biting finish.

If the anonymous businessman's hunch is successful, however, he could walk away with almost $15million or £11.6million.

Just because the place has a bad reputation it doesn't mean that every bookie there is dodgy. Its like Nigeria, it has a bad reputation for people getting scammed by fraudsters, but the Nigerian Prince I have been in communication with is totally above board and once I send him £8000 he will be able to access the state fund that he is entitled to and will send me back £1million.

I read this earlier, can you confirm @MrUKHackz, licenced in curacao, will he get paid out?.

I'd imagine it would be a wager with a wealthy crook over there that owns half of the casinos licensed in Curacao and if he didn't pay, the super soakers would be coming out, it's millions of pounds after all!

Trump has won, he is a minimum 1.5 points ahead in every state he requires to win, many higher than this, it would need to be some rigging job to overturn this.

Not so as most of the outstanding votes are postal votes and more Democats have voted by post than Republicans.  Traditionally most Republicans  vote on the day  that is why Trump is making a big thing about postal vote fraud.   At the end of the day this is going down to the wire a bit like the Bush 2000 election.

The big thing is not just the President winner but the house and senate control  as they could end up with a lame duck president with the likely hostility that is going to follow a tight election
