VillaLad Posted May 14, 2018 Share Posted May 14, 2018 @Rocknrolla regarding the original post i gave the tourney a go but the structure aint for me tbh it seems to be a bit of an all in fest, The buy in is fine as it is, Regarding bringing in other formats of poker is a good idea though but it will all depend on the structure of these games whether they will be a success or not, Im not sure how many runners each week there is but maybe you could do something like leagues groups of 10-12 or whatever, The problem with this is getting the same players each week and having an entry fee prior to the comp starting which someone else mentioned earlier is a good way of making sure they will be there, Im trying to do some things on the racing part of the forum but were having these exact troubles with different people everyweek, Also reading some of the comments on here it seems people have trouble playing on sunday evenings maybe you could do a few different tournies on friday night and saturday, Maybe a freezout with higher chips to start there are loads of things you could do but you would need a settled group of people for it to be fair to everyone entering, Thats my input and if you need any help im available if needed 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Hold on a minute in an earlier post it pissed you off that paul transferred him the money and stated that the bloke only had 15 posts and hes a newbie, well youve posted 50 odd times and about 45 of them was when you won the tourney and decided to remind everyone about the fact that because you won 1 tourney you think your daniel negranu. And after the break it just becomes who can flip the best thus taking all the skill out of the game. - Until the hold'em game is successfully running with a good amount of runners I would not vary the game type. - Think about creating some cash game sessions / heads up tournaments / KO tournaments. - I think excluding people from winning prizes because they did not play enough games is a really bad idea. This is a competitive league, if someone plays 3 games and is in the top 5 in the league, then props to them... you can not punish them for placing high in the 3 tournaments they played. Other players have the option to place lower but play more consistently and still knock them from their place. - Sorry, but before there is any 'pre' tournament buy in amounts the tournament needs to be a lot more serious, slower structure, bigger prizes (even a GTD) and a regular start time (regardless of how your gambling is going. I understand tilt can cause you to not want to stream/play etc.) . TBH, in general buying in for the tournament should be enough, I do not know how many people would willingly front up money and sign themselves up to playing the next 3 months of sundays. - Overall, I like the game its a good bit of fun to look forward too on a Sunday. I would say limit the slots whilst playing poker and just concentrate on playing some other tourneys on the side. Plenty other days of the week where we get to see dead spins on slots. In general I think the pay up front thing is a little ropey - you'd end up with less players IMO (but a pretty much guaranteed number each week) I think the format is generally okay. I don't really like the blinds making a bit of a shove fest, but I would hate each tournament to take 5-6 hours.
