An old boss of mine had a Honda Legend

Was a nice car

I had a Rover 820 Fastback but it was back when I bought and sold from the Auctions for a while

It was a stunning big car but the auto box had some issue

A mate said to cut the kickdown cable which we did and two fella's bought it saying no problem they'd fix it

It drove ok and they got it home but I got a lot of nasty calls when they changed the kickdown and then realised the autobox was gubbed

I still miss those days,  was so easy to flip cars

A great selling price was always £1000

Most of the time I had only paid £500 for them,  or less

I always had them looking mint when someone came to view it

I miss the days of the £200 - £400 car out of the Scottish Supermarket, some oldie that's had to surrender his driving licence due to infirmity so you get his old mint Toyota Corolla for £200 or a Camry for £400.

Back then you could just walk into any auction and bid buy and leave

These days they want yur full family tree and dental records
