Overview Of Scudamore’s Super Stakes
Scudamore’s Super Stakes is a new branded release from Netent based around the 8 times champion Jockey Peter Scudamore, the thing is though, Netent’s history of branded slots is a bit of a hit or miss affair, while there are a few decent ones, such as the recently released Vikings slot or the older and dearly missed South Park, most have been rather disappointing. Visually, most Netent productions are beautiful to look at and play smooth as silk, it’s the mathematics that let the games down with the poor pays and strange variance, let’s see if this is a beautiful let down or a beautiful suprise!
Scudamore’s Super Stakes has a classic 5 reel by 3 row setup with 20 fixed pay lines, there are 3 features and to start with we are going to look at the random wild feature, this can activate on any spin during the base game or feature whereby 2 to 5 horse shoes will randomly appear on the reels, these then turn to wild symbols when the reels stop, below is a win I got with this feature playing with real money, it paid 160x my stake and was a very welcome suprise!
The second feature is simply called bet slip and you can choose if you play this side bet or not, if you want to play it you click the bet slip to the right of the slot, choose a symbol and stake and then choose amongst the potential wins, the best win is 1242x for collecting 92 wilds in 80 spins, you can bet up to £80. Do bear in mind once the bet’s placed it cannot be cancelled!
The third and final feature has the highest potential of the game and it’s called Peter’s Classic Cup. To win this feature you need to land a scatter on reel’s 1, 3 and 5 and once you have, the reel’s expand to 4 rows and the pay lines increase from 20 to 32. Before the feature starts you’re required to select one of four different horses.
Divine Fortune: Red jockey and red A symbols, pay’s 5000x total bet
Berry Max: Purple jockey and purple K symbols, pays 500x total bet
Gonzo’s Quest: Green jockey and green Q symbols, pays 100x total bet
Tin Foil Hat: Blue jockey and blue J symbols, pays 50x total bet
The horses then run beneath the reel’s of the slot and each horse has 2 symbols that appear on the reel’s in the same colour as the jockey’s silks, whenever there is a win on the reels, the horse associated with the winning symbols advances 1 spot in the race. The horse that advances 4 spots first wins the race and Peter’s Classic Cup ends.
Scudamore’s Super Stakes Paytable
The paytable in Scudamore’s Super Stakes is not dynamic and based on coin wins, I do wish Netent would come into the future with there paytable’s but they seem to like it this way so I’ll do the maths for you and put it in plain English! Starting with the lowest symbol we have the J’s paying 2x for a full 5 of a kind, the Q’s pay 3x, the K’s pay 4x and the A’s pay 6x.
Moving onto the premium symbols we have the blue horse paying 10x, the green horse paying 15x, the purple pays 20x and the red horse pays 25x.
The top symbol in the game is the wild which pays a huge premium of 100x per full line, you’ll notice it was the 1 wild line in my random wild feature that made it pay so well, this symbol is also stacked on all reel’s!
Final Thoughts On Scudamore’s Super Stakes
The RTP for Scudamore’s Super Stakes is 96.11% and Id rate the variance as medium high, you can also see below that if you do play the side bet there are 40 different RTP’s! I mean talk about a confusing maths model but then again it’s also a nice thing that Netent have been so transparent about this and put it in the main paytable. The graphics and sounds are good quality and as a fan of horse racing I enjoyed hearing the horses gallop as the reel’s spun, overall I think this has turned out really well for a branded slot and I think you’ll see this played on stream’s in the near future, if you fancy a go there’s a link below to a TGC trusted casino and as always, thanks for reading!
