Overview Of Boss Bear
Delve into the animal underground, far away from the zen bamboo forests, to meet the baddest panda in town. With the success of Big Bamboo and the ‘cute’ Panda being a fan favourite, Push Gaming wanted to give players a new take on the Panda Symbol, giving them a Panda that’s the Boss of a notorious syndicate!
Boss Bear has a 6 reel by 5 row setup with 50 fixed pay lines. Upon opening the slot for the first time you are immediately aware that this is a sequel to Big Bamboo from the familiar layout, Instant prize symbols now have a maximum of 1000x stake unlike the predecessors 5000x max coins.
The values available are 1x, 2x, 5x, 10x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 250x, 500x and 1000x.
The Multiplier symbol is available during both the base game and the feature. When the Multiplier symbol lands it will multiply the value of all Coins and Collector symbols on the reels by the value shown. The Multiplier is then removed from the reels. The Multiplier values are 2x, 3x, 5x and 10x.
When the Collector symbol lands it will collect the value of all other Coin symbols and any other Collector symbols. All Coin symbols will then be removed from the reels and the empty positions will spin again, just like in Razor Returns from the same provider.
When the Nudge symbol lands, the stack of Golden Reveal symbols will expand and cover the whole reel where it landed. The Nudge symbol is then removed from the reels, new empty positions will turn into coins and spin through all the possible prizes excluding the Nudge symbol.
The Bonus Scatter symbol is identical to the one in Big Bamboo with a slight change, the level you start at is now determined by how many Scatters you land.
- 3 Scatters trigger 7 Free Spins with no low symbols converted to reveal symbols.
- 4 Scatters trigger 8 Free Spins with 2 low symbols converted to reveal symbols.
- 5 Scatters trigger 9 Free Spins with 4 low symbols converted to reveal symbols.
As with it’s predecessor, there is the super volatile gamble function should you land just 3 or 4 Scatters in the base game or during a Coin feature. 3 Scatters gives you the option to gamble for the 4 Scatter feature or 5 Scatter feature shown above and the 4 Scatter gamble is to go for Gold, the 5 Scatter feature.
The Free Spins feature as shown below paid over 10,000x on my first go which is so sick as demo money is the only option until the release date of 22/11/2023! A note to players, there was no slow roll tease, it just dropped the 1000x coin in like it was a 1x Bronze coin, absolutely no suspense, then multiplied it by 10x at the end of the spin!
Boss Bear Paytable
The paytable in Boss Bear is dynamic and changes with your stake, the example below is set to £/€1 per spin. Starting with the low paying symbols we have the Blue Diamond, the Green Spade, the Red Club and the Purple Heart all paying 0.80x stake for a full line.
Moving onto the premium symbols we have the Blue Ninja Star paying 2x for a full line, the Purple Gun pays 4x, the Blue Wolf pays 10x, the Purple Monkey pays 20x and the top symbol of the Boss Panda pays the same as the Wild symbol at a whopping 100x stake respectively.
Final Thoughts On Boss Bear
Boss Bear has an RTP of 96.47%, the volatility is rated High and the maximum win is 25,000x stake. To sum Boss Bear up, I think I might actually prefer it to Big Bamboo, sure the max win is half that of it’s sibling but it felt like you could actually have a chance of winning big without a huge bankroll and thousands of bonus buys, of course my opinion is going to be swayed as I hit a 10,000x coin on my first bonus!
With that said, I shall leave it to the public to decide, feel free to comment your own opinion below.
As always thanks for reading and if you fancy playing Boss Bear, it’s due to be released on the 22/11/2023. That should give you plenty of time to play with demo version and get a good feel for it, meanwhile if you fancy some more slot reviews, there’s a link below.
