Overview Of Iron Girl
Iron Girl is the latest release from the well known provider PlaynGo, it has a nostalgic 80’s hero and villain theme and a very simple mechanic, the max win is 1000x your stake yet the game is rated as high variance, with that in mind I’m keen to see if it’s a total flop or a surprise success so lets dig in and see!
Slot Description
Iron Girl has a 5 reel by 3 row setup with 20 fixed pay lines, there are no scatter symbols and no bonus round to unlock, the game has just 2 features, one of them is villain re-spins and the other is called iron armour, to start with we’ll have a look at villain re-spins which is the main feature of the game.
Any time you land a winning combination with any of the villain’s pictured above they lock and you get a re-spin, if any wild symbols or villains land anywhere on the reels even if there not linking up, they lock and you get another re-spin! If you look at the bounty bonus below you’ll see it’s a meter which is above the reels, this meter counts up the amount of the locked villain and wilds and progressively gives you a better extra on top of the win. For 7 or less you just get the win on the reel’s, for 8 or 9 you get 2 wilds added to the reels, for 10 or 11 you get a x2 multiplier, 12 or 13 awards a 3x multiplier and for 14 or a full screen of 15 you get a multiplier of 5x!
The second feature is called iron armour, quite simply the transformer looking robot shown below fly’s out randomly on any spin and chucks up to 5 wilds on the reel’s randomly, it seem’s to trigger quite often but the trade off for that is the wild’s going in useless positions a lot of the time, to keep it balanced though he can also put them in a wild line so it’s a nice extra to the game.
Iron Girl Paytable
The paytable in Iron Girl is dynamic and adjusts in real time with your bet size, the image below is set at £1 to keep it straight forward. Starting with lowest symbols we have a simple structure of 2.5x per 5 of a kind for any of these, these however are purely to fill the reel’s and are of no interest at all as they can’t lock in place either, what we want is the villains so let’s move on.
The villains are the main premium symbols in the game and also the ones that start the re-spins for any winning combination, the orange villain pays 5x per line, the green goblin looking symbol pays 6x, the pink pays 7.5x and the silver surfer with the blue outline pays the most at 10x your stake. The wild symbol can substitute for any of these villains and also locks and adds to your count on the re-spins, one of the nicest features is the fact that on a re-spin you can lock the villain in any place even if it doesn’t yet connect which gives you a better chance at filling the screen up or at least plenty of lines!
Final Thoughts On Iron Girl
Iron Girl has an RTP 96.70% and I from my test play I would say its more of a medium variance game than high, although saying that I had a win of 480x in my first 100 spins on this game and then when I went back to play it the following day I got 502x as pictured below, this also came in under 100 spins so that does scream high variance, I guess over time we will be able to get a better feel for it but it’s safe to say that I’m a fan of the game purely for the 1000x combined it gave me! The graphics are simple but pretty and the sounds are complimentary to the theme, I like the “villain located” sound bite when it locks the reels and I also like the simplicity of the feature. If you fancy a go there’s a link below for Dunder where I got my first big win on Iron Girl, you can also see this win on the forum. As always thanks for reading and good luck locating the villains!
