Overview Of ZZ Top Roadside Riches
Join legendary rock band ZZ Top as they set off on another tour. Get a feel for Americana music and life on the road as one of the oldest Rock n Roll bands still touring to this day!
ZZ Top Roadside Riches is a 5×4 slot game filled with classic Texas-inspired symbols, we’re talking sunglasses, buffalo skulls, colourful suits, furry guitars – it’s got it all. Here are some things to look out for along the way.
ZZ Top Roadside Riches has a 5 Reel by 4 symbol layout with a 1024 ways to win or payways as Play’n Go call them. The theme is of course based on the legendary ZZ Top Rock band from Houston in Texas, together since 1969 they still tour to this day and are actively travelling around North America for 2021!
The game has two types of special wilds, legs wilds will expand over one reel, whereas the gimme wild has a multiplier between 2x and 3x in the base game and upto 5x in the feature, increasing the number of ways you can win.
If that wasn’t enough, you have two Free Spin options based around these wilds!
The aim is to land at least 3 of the ZZ Scatters to trigger the free spins where you are taken to a feature selection screen with the option of Legs Wilds or Gimme Wilds, once a feature has been selected you will be taken to the gas station to fill the hotrod up, the gas pump will then award a random amount of spins between 8,10 and 12 for 3 scatters, 8, 10, 12 or 15 spins for 4 scatters and 10, 12, 15 or 20 for the maximum 5 scatters.
The first feature is based around the Legs walking wild and reminds me of the Jack and the Beanstalk bonus with the expanding Harp wilds, the difference is the spins still count down when the wild walks.
As you can see below, the graphics are incredible and it really does feel like you’re on the set of the Gimme all your loving video!
The second feature is called Gimme All and simply adds wilds to the reels with a random multiplier of 2x, 3x or 5x, in the background the song Gimme All Your Loving blasts out which is enough of a reason to choose this feature!
I personally found the Legs feature more enjoyable as I felt more involved calling in more wilds, with the Gimme feature it’s more about hoping for a wild line and some good multipliers which felt a bit static as the wilds don’t stick, the pays did seem bigger though for less which makes sense as theirs a multiplier!
During my test play the best bonus I had was also on the Legs feature, I had 2 wilds land on reels 3 and 4 and walk over to meet another on reel 1 giving me 3 wild reels in a row, the end result was 384x stake and that was only my 3rd bonus!
ZZ Top Roadside Riches Paytable
The paytable in ZZ Top Roadside Riches is dynamic and changes with your stake, the below is set on £1 per spin for simplicity. Starting with the low paying symbols we have the 4 different Suits paying 0.25x for a full way and the Buffalo Head and ZZ Shades pay 1x for a full way.
Moving onto the premium symbols we simply have the 3 band members and they all pay the same, 5x for a full way. It’s worth noting that all band member symbols are 2 positions high and lots of the base symbols are also stacked on the reels so it’s rather easy to get lots of ways of any symbol, not just the low paying ones.
Final Thoughts On ZZ Top Roadside Riches
ZZ Top Roadside Riches has a default RTP of 96.20% and Play’n Go rate the volatility as 10/10 Extreme which I’d agree with purely based on the potential 40,000x capped max win. The graphics are beautiful and the whole way the slots been put together just works, the car filling up for the spins, the lady and the car out the music videos, it’s spot on and attention to detail has not been spared anywhere which shows.
I will personally be adding this to my top 10 slots for the meantime as I just get a good feeling about it, I’ve had bigger wins on other slots on my first go but this just feels like it has a lot to give, only time will tell if its got the “legs!”
