Overview Of Megadon

When you live in the ocean, it’s every shark for itself!

Sharing is certainly not caring. There may be plenty of fish in the sea, but the Leopard, Hammerhead and Great White Shark want the lion(fish)’s share!

And with other predators circling the great depths on the hunt for prey, will any of the sharks come out on top as the mightiest hunter of the sea?

Slot Description

Megadon is a 5 reel, 4 row slot with 1024 ways to win and has 2 bonus features, 1 base game feature and 1 main feature. The base game feature is called Snack Time and can activate randomly on any spin with the sound of a sonar beep.

1 of the 3 sharks will appear and then up to 3 of the low paying symbols will be selected at random below the reels, the spin will finish and any of the chosen low paying symbols will transform into the relevant shark, the win is then paid.

The main feature in Megadon is called Shark Feast and is awarded for landing 3 or more scatters in the base game. 3 scatters award 6 Free Spins and 1 upgrading symbol, 4 scatters award 9 Free Spins and 2 upgrading symbols and 5 scatters awards 12 Free Spins and 3 upgrading symbols.

The top feature of 12 Free Spins and 3 upgraded symbols is clearly where the moneys at although you can end up with all 6 low paying symbols being transformed with the aid of retriggers and this is where the maximum potential lies beneath the ocean!

Getting as many Scatters as possible during the Free Spins will unlock Retriggers which will keep adding to the player’s symbol transformations which is important for getting the most potential from the feature.

Megadon Paytable

The paytable in Megadon is dynamic and changes with your stake, the example below is set to £1 per spin for simplicity. We start with the Shrimps and Minnows that pay 0.4x for a full way, the Puffer Fish and Box Fish both pay 0.6x and the Marlin and Barracuda pay a straight 1x respectively.

Moving on to the premium symbols we have the Leopard Shark paying 2x, the Hammerhead Shark pays 2.5x and the Great White Shark pays 4x for a full way.

Final Thoughts On Megadon

Megadon has an RTP of 96%, the volatility is rated High and the maximum win is 10,000x stake. The graphics are clean and the soundtrack is akin to something out of the movie Jaws, it also has a more serious feel to it than Razor Shark which the Megadon is a dead ringer for. Overall it’s a decent game and I like the theme and mechanics, it’s definitely on the playlist.

As always thanks for reading and if you fancy swimming with the sharks and luring the Megadon there’s a link below to a TGC trusted casino.
