REVIEW – Merkur Vampires

Overview Of Vampires

In this review we’re going to look at Vampires from the provider Merkur. Merkur are known for there super high variance games with huge potential and have a massive following in German land based casino’s from the players. Lets see what this game offers and if it lives up to the hype!

Slot Description

Vampires is a 5 reel by 3 row slot with just 5 pay lines, there are no base game features and 1 main freespin feature. The wild symbol acts as a scatter and you need to land at least 3 anywhere to unlock the bonus, if you get 5 you’ll also get a 200x payout before the feature starts.

The feature is 15 freespins and cannot be re-triggered, any win you land in the feature that includes a wild symbol will transform the winning symbols to wilds for the remaining spins, for example if you got a 3 of a kind of the swords and had a wild in that line hit, the 2 sword symbols would turn wild, not every sword on the reel’s will turn wild though just the ones from the winning combination.

The idea is to get lots of small wins and as you get nearer the last spins you can have lots of wilds on the reel’s giving you a nice chance at landing a big win, below is a picture from last night when I was testing the game and I hit the jackpot, a full line of the girl which paid a very respectable 1000x my stake! As you can see up until that point Id basically won nothing so it’s very hit and miss and makes it all the more exciting.

Vampires Paytable

The paytable in Vampires is dynamic and adjusts with your stake which is perfect. The below is based on £1 a spin and starting from the lowest symbols we have the 10’s, J’s and Q’s paying 20x for 5 of a kind, the K’s and A’s pay 30x, the sword and challis pay substantially more at 150x for a full line, the castle pays 400x and then the girl comes in at a huge premium of 1000x for the full line as I got above.

Final Thoughts On Vampires

Vampires has an RTP of 96% and Id rate it as high variance, Merkur are similar to Novomatic but with less lines but the same sort of volatility, play one when it’s in a bad mood and it’ll empty your balance, find one thats ‘hot’ and you’re going to at least treble your balance! I’m a big fan of Merkur games, I don’t play them all the time but they are nice and simple and you know that just 1 spin can change your whole session, if you fancy a go on this particular slot theres a link below to a TGC trusted casino and as always thanks for reading if you made it this far, cheers!
