Overview Of Halloween Jack
Halloween Jack is the latest release from Netent, it’s a remake of the classic Jack and the Beanstalk slot made specially for the Halloween holiday, if you thought Jack gave you nightmares before, this new version promises to make them even worse! To be fair though I have seen a 10’000x win on the original which is more than enough reason to give it a spin so let’s test it out and see if the grim reaper pays us a visit, I mean pays us!
Slot Description
Halloween Jack has a classic 5 reel by 3 row setup with 20 fixed paylines, it has the same base game feature of a walking wild whereby any wild that lands on the reels will stick and move one place to the left on the following spin, these spins are also free so its technically a re-spin feature and anybody that’s played the original Jack and the Beanstalk will be very familiar with, it can be great if you happen to land several and then land more on the re-spins but it usually ends in small win’s which just keep you ticking over while you play for the main free spin feature, let’s take a look at that next.
The freespins in Halloween Jack are won by landing at least 3 scatters in a spin and the scatters are available on all 5 reel’s, you initially win 10 free spins and during the feature you can re-trigger an additional 5 spins for landing 3 or more.
The feature in Halloween Jack utilises the walking wild’s, your aim is to collect lanterns and upgrade the wilds exactly the same as in Jack and the Beanstalk, for 3 lanterns you will unlock the hell hound stacked wild which can land as double wilds, for 6 lanterns you unlock Jack himself and these wilds can be between 1 and 3 rows high and finally for 9 lanterns you unlock the expanding death reaper which is basically the golden chicken (it’s not a turkey or goose I checked with Netent!) in Jack and the Beanstalk where it fills the reel, this is what you want to land on all 5 reel’s giving you a full screen of the best symbol and potentially bagging you the 10’000x max win!
Below is an example of the Jack o’lantern that I unlocked, this win ended up being just shy of 100x my stake.
Halloween Jack Paytable
The paytable in Halloween Jack is typical Netent and tells you your win per bet level in amount of coins, let me decipher this for you into simpler multipliers! The 10’s pay 1.5x for a 5 of a kind, the J’s pay 2.5x, the Q’s and K’s pay 3.75x and the A’s come in at 5x your stake.
Moving on to the premiums we have the horse shoe in blue that pays 6.25x, the raven and bat in shades of green pay 12.5x, the horse in yellow pays substantially more at 37.5x and the top symbol of the spooky lady in red pay’s 50x your total bet. If you got a full screen of wilds in the bonus this would be x20 thus giving you a win of 1000x plus the following spins as the wilds move across!
Final Thoughts On Halloween Jack
Halloween Jack has an RTP of 96.28% and Netent rate it as high variance, being a veteran slot player and having more than enough experience of how brutal Jack and the Beanstalk can be, I whole heartedly agree with there rating. The graphics and sounds are brilliant and it really is more fun to play than the original in my opinion, my first bonus when testing the slot paid nearly 100x my stake and I would certainly not expect to get that any time soon on the original so maybe this is hot for Halloween!
