Overview Of Lil Devil

BTG have released yet another new slot and this time there isn’t a Megaway in sight, Lil Devil is the latest release from the online giant Big Time Gaming and it promises to be as epic as the song that its based around, The Cults 1987 hit, Lil’ Devil.

Slot Description

Lil Devil has a 6 reel by 4 row layout and you play with 4096 fixed ways to win. The game instantly looks like The Final Countdown and Danger High Voltage had a slot love child, the background is what appears to be a opium poppy field swaying in the wind and to the left you may recognise the wooden shack, its the Bonanza shack and it bursts into flames on each 2 scatter feature tease, that is enough to get my full attention as if its anything like Bonanza I will be running for the hills, let alone mining them! The aim is to land at least 3 scatters to enter the bonus round but they’ve also added a rather ingenious scatter collection system called the heartstopper whereby you collect a heart for every 2 scatter tease, collect 40 of these and you enter an enhanced version of either feature. Once you land 3 scatters you will be offered 2 different features similar to the gates and high voltage features in Danger High Voltage. The Be My Angel feature starts you with 7 free spins and a mystery symbol, anytime your mystery symbol lands on reels 2 through to 5 it will stick, get a whole reel wild and it will convert into an Angel Wild which will also award 3 extra spins, the Angel Wild starts at 4x multiplier and increases by 2x each spin to a maximum of 12x, you can re-trigger up to 4 times giving you an extra 12 spins and 4 wild reels, the potential is insane! The Dynamite Lover Free Spins feature starts you off with 12 free spins and the aim is to keep landing dynamite wilds on reels 3 and 4, each time one of these wilds is used in a win reaction the multiplier increases by 1x, the symbols explode and new ones fall down, including potentially more dynamite wilds to increase the multiplier and keep the reaction going. You can re-trigger this feature with 3 scatters and you will be awarded 6 extra spins each time, there is no cap on the amount of re-triggers. Now we have seen both the features let’s take a look at the enhanced versions, these become available once you collect 40 hearts. It’s worth noting that the hearts are locked to each stake so this is no Wild Swarm and its also worth noting that the hearts don’t reset after you land a regular 3 scatter feature which is nice and gives you a reason to continue playing. The difference between the features is fairly straight forward, in the Enhanced Be My Angel bonus the difference is you now have 2 mystery symbols, 1 random as usual and also the purple top symbol. The difference in the Enhanced Dynamite Lover Free Spins is that the multiplier starts at 5x instead of the regular 1x.

Lil Devil Paytable

The paytable in Lil Devil is straight forward and the potential wins are shown in multiples of your stake. Starting with the lowest we have the 9’s that pay 0.4x for 6 of a kind, the 10’s pay 0.5x, the J’s and Q’s pay 0.6x and the K’s and A’s pay a small premium of 1x per full way. Moving onto the premium symbols in Lil Devil we have the Alligator and the Lizard in a bottle that pays 1.5x for a full way, the lobster looking scorpion pays 5x for 6 of a kind and the purple heart pays the most at 10x per way.

Final Thoughts On Lil Devil

Lil Devil has an RTP of 96.31% to 96.43% depending what feature you take and its safely in the super high variance category as with most BTG releases. The graphics are typical of the provider and they have even added some little easter eggs from other games for you to discover, the first one you’ll notice is the “choo choo” from Bonanza, theres plenty more to find though. To summarise my session on the game it cost me 250x stake to get the heartstopper enhanced free spins and I won around the 300x mark, I have also had a session where it put me 400x my stake up within a few minutes and 2 features, its worth noting though I also had the reverse where it absolutely stripped my balance and gave me nothing in another session so beware this game is super high variance!
