Rocknrolla 5,384 Posted July 27 Doing a lil vlog at the end of the next vid but thought I would talk about it here as anyone from youtube can comment on it, rather than the youtube comment section as thats impossible to have a conversation on! So I'm going to be trialling a different crypto site, this was one that @JackSparks moved to a while ago, he's since left but recommended I try it and as he's only one of two in the industry I trust at the moment ( @L&LJan being the other) I'm going to give them a try. I also want to be open about this deal as I will be with any future ones. So for this trial I'll be receiving a fixed fee per month, no rev, no deposit bonuses, no wager % etc, in return they get their logo on my obs and a review. There's no dictating how I gamble or anything on my streams/vids they can be as long or as short as I like. I don't have to mention them or any sales pitch. I'm going to be moving to Ireland to do it. That may sound crazy but with the flights from and to Bournemouth being so convenient it could actually work as I would fly late Sunday night and fly back early Wednesday morning. I don't see my kids on a Tuesday anyway so its only the few hours on a Monday after school that I will miss. First video I put up seems like nobody cared if I use a vpn or not and I also now know that flying to Ireland to gamble is pretty much pointless as it still doesn't protect against KYC and sow. Crypto is a massively dangerous world not to be taken lightly and I know loads have said they've been fine using a vpn but I've also heard of others that haven't and it seems particularly when they've won big. So thats one of the reasons I'll be doing it and to do it right I need an address, utility bills, bank, the full works. I'm still not fully comfortable with all this and would be even less so showing people I'm playing from the UK with a vpn. Gambling wise it suits me as the days I'm not there I can't gamble. Hoping to sort a schedule out like the old days, maybe Sunday to Tuesday live streams and vids on the others day but will see. Also looking to keep youtube to just vids and either live streaming on Twitch or that new Kick place. Might take a while to stream as the places I've been looking to rent need basically sow, references etc so no idea how long it will take. My youtube is starting to very slowly get back in the algorithm and for the first time in two years I actually have green ticks/numbers rather than the usual red and minus subs everytime I uploaded. Its still only 4% recommended views as to 40% I used to get before getting blacklisted to 0.1%. Never uploaded for those reasons but its giving me the buzz back from the early days to come up with new vids, streams and maybe even a 24hr stream ha! I know not everyone likes the fee part but for the last two years I did it for nothing because it was a fudging amazing ride of some of the best streams I've ever had, only made possible and sustainable due to the winnings being recycled. But earning nothing from it was however one of the reasons a few playable casinos like 21 and party limited me as with the new regs being up a quarter mill on Party doesn't count as income so this whole crypto journey could also be a way back into those casinos. We appointed a regulator last year, and there is much lobbying to lessen the impact of regulation on established practices of a wild west scenario by betting firms which is going on behind the scenes . Gambling is a lucrative business in Ireland mainly through our fascination with pulling strokes with horses and greyhounds (and a massive bloodstock industry). The Casino side is an afterthought. The operating window in Ireland is therefore limited as unfortunately we are going to most likely copy the GC casino restrictions verbatim, meaning it will no longer be a desirable base to stream from from. My best guess is by end of 2023. SOW does not exist in Ireland right now (flutter do try and enforce it at present, but its not legal and they know this). All the rest of the casino/betting firms don't bother. AML maybe, but they have to have good reason. In terms of verification, casinos only have legitimate rights under KYC to basic info - utility billsand ID, under their current remote licenses issued by the Irish Revenue Commissioners (equiv of UK's HMRC). And to my point. I appreciate you are trying to do things right by UK standards, you have a massive viewership there. No matter what crypto outfit you deal with, you are going to be in an awful position of promoting something to an audience that includes a lot of UK customers who may decide to take the double risk of chancing the VPN, fingers crossed I get paid scenario (casinos are actively pursuing streamers to what seems grey, but is black and white when it suits them) . Some streamers might give a toss once they get paid, but I don't believe that is you. I probably know where you are going next - that casino with the CG connection. My thoughts are just be careful with what these casinos are saying they do and don't want and they most certainly know your reach. This was between 2010-2019, so it might not be the same now. This was by UKGC and MGA licensed operators. So even if it's not legal to do so or required even as Danger pointed out, it still seems to happen and tbh there's not much you can do about it except comply. Unless you want to look into the legal aspects of it and go down the months and months of paperwork and comms to try figure it out. I played on crypto for the last few years and didn't have a single problem with cashouts or verification, infact, I never even provided an ID or Utiliy bill. Some huge cash outs and obviously similar losses along the way. But my account was banned on 2 crypto casinos a few months ago. No reason for the ban was given and no one ever replied to my tickets to enquire why. Luckily I never got fucked for any missed cash outs, both accounts were banned while not involved. It did start that niggly worry in the back of my head again though and I've since not tried to make any new accounts. I'm sure as an affiliate you wont run into these problems yourself personally but deffo anyone going down this route needs to think long and hard before putting any money in and using VPNs. I have seen genuine emotion in your latest content and I enjoy that so keep it up especially the reality checks when being honest about losses. I know people have issues with this form of gambling but for me having content that is legit and has me wondering what's going to happen knowing the person has their money on the line gives me a fix meaning I don't have such a compulsion to gamble myself. When I used to be out of control with my gambling something that helped was watching people like you and the bandit. I could actually feel the stress and emotion and more often than not it was enough to stop me from depositing, even if you won big. The difference is with the play time that reduces significantly but chances to hit it big are also much higher. So yeah, you are right, you need big balance thats why it is perfect for streamers and not for most of the players indeed. It also doesnt help that Paul is buying 400-600 buys with 2k in the balance.
