Can SOMEONE explain DENOM to me!?!

Dear Anyone.

If the following example doesn't make sense, it's precisely that I don't know what I'm talking about which is why I'm here!

I love watching Vegas streamers - except I don't understand 'denom'. I know you can choose different stake values on Vegas machines - but pretend you've chosen $1 stake for argument's sake.  And you're betting $25 a spin.  So that's $1 denom, am I right?  Then you change to $5 stake, so am I right in thinking that's $5 denom?  But you're still betting $25 a spin.

So what's changed? You're still spending the same amount per spin, so what has changing the denom done for you?  I've often seen players changing denom but spending the same amount per spin, so I don't understand what changing the denom has actually achieved!

If the above sounds garbled, it's because I don't understand it.  Can anyone explain it to me (preferably in gentle, simple terms for the mentally challenged!)

Yours hopefully

Chris.

Most of them are all Casino connected

That Lady Luck NEVER loses,  baffles me that people can't work things out,  IMO it's just marketing ammunition.

If all these various kinds of streamers are that good,  why do they ALL need Casino deals ?

How many fly solo unaided only gambling & risking their own money ?   with ZERO connections with any casinos ?

All these establishments will try anything to make sure you keep playing slots

Simply stated the denomination is the stake and currency of each transaction . Ie a dollar is a different denomination than a pound , in stake terms a 20p spin is different to a 40p spin same denomination but different stake .

So why if they're playing - say - $1 denom are they not just spending $1 whenever they hit the button? Their credits are going down by far more than that - $25 sometimes.  When you press the button on a bookie's FOBT after choosing £2 a spin, you might have multiple win lines but your credit just goes down by £2. As they've chosen - say - $1 denom, how come their credit isn't just going down by $1 every time they press the start button? THAT'S the bit I don't get!

Yours head-scratchingly

Chris.

As far as I'm aware it just boosts volatility. Hackz book of dead example is pretty spot on. In some landbased machines in my country the higher DENOM affects jackpot amounts, so rather than playing 20 lines at 5c each I'd play 5 lines at 25c each as the mini jackpot, for example, would go from $20 to $100.
