Hi lurking for a while now but i started a 6 month period 16/08/2021 only reaIised it was active when i tried to reopen admiral casino

I logged into 4 accounts i was able to deposit so i thought it must not be active which all have the gamstop banner : 21Casino , All british casino, fun casino, hyper casino

There are more but cant think of them gamstop was removed 18/07/2022  only becuase i did not realise it was active so over a year i have deposited maybe 3000£ on 21 alone, 21 casino have closed my account on theirs and playgrand after i have spoke to live chat while they investigate, i have not moved all my details are exactly the same everywhere.

Advice? am i grasping here or have they fcked up ?

You signed up to gamstop on 16/08/21 for 6 months but then you was able to deposit since then is that right?

@waynekk welcome. Something is not quite right. If you sign up to gamstop regardless of the time you set, you have to call and go through the process and cooling off period.

Are you really sure you have played strictly by the rules? Moved address etc?

@waynekk

I'm a little confused.

when you sign up to gamstop for a particular period of time it doesn't automatically expire after that time has elapsed.

Unless you specifically contact gamstop to request removal after your time has elapsed then the exclusion remains in place for 7 years

Ok, just seen your post above. That would suggest gamstop was not even activated correctly?

You should have emails in your email account which evidence the start and end date. Also if you log into your gamstop you can get a full history.

Print off and send it to the support teams. If all valid I feel you have a case.

I would however put yourself back on it if you're not in control. You have capacity to make better choices.

Yes i asked to remove it but i was able to log in and deposit for over a year while being on gamstop, not knowing i was on gamstop on sites which use gamstop. if that makes any sense.

Yes, so now log into gamstop and print the history. Also the email evidence you would have from Gamstop

So you're saying gamstop was active and during the exclusion period you were able to deposit and play with all your details being the same.

If that's the case then I would say you were not protected by the exclusion as you should have been

However if you have tried to circumvent then it's a lost cause.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Ok, well its unusual as I'm on gamstop and I've tested the theory and been blocked every time.

You should have grounds with your complaint as long as everything is 100% as you've told us.

Let us know how you get on

Yes, and if you have the evidence which you can obtain easily. If not call Gamstop and ask for it.

Send it to the sites in question.

I’m confused 😩

Sorry but why sign up to gamstop if you are then going to gamble? It makes no sense whatsoever. I applaud you for realising you have/had a problem and signing up to gamstop you made the 1st steps in signing up you will then need the willpower to see it through. There’s no point in an half hearted attempt at stopping gambling you have to commit to it fully if you really want to stop.

I can't zoom in on the device I am on. Does it have the start date and the duration till you call to end it?

In short it's like building a security fence,  then climbing over it
