Just had an email from William Hills confirming they have been taken over by the 888 group.

They said that any self exclusion with them will not automatically transfer to 888 so you have to exclude with them.

Makes no difference to me, but I think that is very poor not taking responsible gambling into account when completing the takeover

I got that email too, I think they mean you won’t be excluded from 888 casinos automatically. If you’re already excluded from William hill that will still stand under the takeover from what I understood. So basically nothing is different from before the take over happened. You’re either still excluded from one, both or neither.

I've deleted the email so cant read again. I took it that you would also have to self exclude the new 888 account even if you were excluded from hills.

888 are vile ........so William hill is going to turn into a very unpleasant marketing instrument directed to take every penny and intrude into your every moment . A very bad day for the punter and my last day with William hill .
