Because in chess etc. is all skill just like sports. In poker you still have luck involved but when you play millions of hands that luck factors becomes smaller and smaller. On the short run even a year long you can be pretty bad but run hot af and keep winning overall. Yeah agree mate I found out that the only one game where you can improve your odds of winning at a casino is blackjack. It requires a lot of research and mental work at the casino.
