Hellmuth burns down casino

I’d assume those of you who use Twitter have saw the controversy over this clip of Hellmuth being a complete tool recently, what are your guys thoughts on it?

I’d argue that if anyone else went on like this they’d be kicked out with no hesitation however Hellmuth seems to get away with it because he’s built his image around being like this.

Personally I would love to sit at a table with him and be on the receiving end of one of his classic blow ups, before I even knew hand rankings I knew who Hellmuth was and would watch videos of Tony G getting under his skin but do you think there’s any place for him going to this extreme in a 7 card Stud tournament?

As a viewer I enjoy it because its funny to see him blow up. Even if I would be at the table with him I would enjoy it and have a good amount of laughs. Some other people that are not familiar with him or just trying to having fun and see him shit talk them might feel differently and that already happened years ago.

Its fine if its him but if it would be some random guy he would get a penalty for few rounds for sure or at least a warning from the floor.
For the casino/WSOP/pokerGO it doesnt make sense to do anything about it, they make a lot of money because of him.

Its been like this through his whole poker career tho so I dont see anything new or something that would shock me.

I cant wait for the next one. 🤗

Anyone else would have been kicked out of the casino and issued with a lifetime ban; there are strict rules in place for the tournament but with Phil, it's almost a certainty that he will blow up at some point. The way he speaks to people sometimes is funny, but often out of order and i really surprised that no one has ever nutted him before.

He is a prime example of a really good player who i think (just my view) has really struggled to adapt to the way the game is played now. His game is still in line with the older ways of thinking about the game and he managed to capitalise back then, but is struggling now to understand why people are willing to gamble more or 5-bet jam certain cards when years ago they would not have even been in the hand from the off.

The game has changed a lot of the last few years - he does do well at non-holdem games as the fields are primarily older players (don't see too many younger people wanting to play HORSE, stud, razz etc. at the WSOP).

I did watch this earlier and tried not to read too many of the comments as this was just bad acting but seems he was basically paid to act up a bit. I can understand that he's trying to liven things up but its just as cringe as Negreanu talking gangster!

Yeah no doubt it seems a bit forced at points, either that or he’s drank that much of that breinfuel that he’s finally cracked for good

I’m surprised @Rocknrolla still plays poker as he’s the tightest fucker that I’ve ever known. This bloke still has the money the tooth fairy left under his pillow.

This kind of reminds me off a time a bloke let rip at me after I had beaten him with  a crap hand.   he wanted to know how I could call an all in with the hand and I calmly pointed out that I went all in and he called me !

It just shows why the big players love to have Helmuth in a cash games  by  the fact that he could not fold the river there with the seven and he is bitching about being unlucky
