Restrictions on Gambling-Related Links

To prevent harm and scams created by questionable gambling services that sponsor content on Twitch, we will prohibit sharing links and/or referral codes to sites that offer slots, roulette, or dice games. We will continue to monitor gambling-related content and update our approach as needed. To give you time to remove this content from your channel, enforcement will be delayed until August 17, 2021.

Well some of these idiots have had more than enough opportunity to stop pure profiteering using fake funds or doing questionable shit so it was inevitable.

No doubt there will be a way round it by linking to a discord or website, depends how strict twitch will be with it

I have seen one guy with a hat last night when he was reading it, he was destroyed 😄 😄

Hopefully they will activley enforce it. I am sure some of the streamers will find a way around it but it should restrict the likes of Foss/Xposed etc. from constantly plugging shit casinos.

If it stops a couple of people from signing up, then it can only be a positive move.

I wonder how it will affect the likes of Xposed though; he has a signed contract with a certain brand which lasts until 2024. I can't see them wanting to honour that contract if the casinos referral links can't be advertised on every stream.

It will take a while until they will find another way to redirect people to signup, the thing is that you are not allowed to use links or banners from 17 August and not even to tell people your website when you are streaming to let them know that they can go and signup from there.. he looked destroyed , almost crying 😄😄

I think all they will do is put a link to their own website and detail the promotions on that. But it will potentially hit a few of them in the pocket (which is not a bad thing)

I bet there is a loophole to avoid it

It won't be hard mate.

Change nightbot settings to jut say "Want to know about my deals/casinos I play at, go to (insert streamers website)".

Simple as that unfortunatley

Well seemingly when the banned onlyfans they now just use a linktree. Defeats the object really.
I thought it was funny watching the clips that trainwreck basically said it’s a good thing and rosh looked absolutely gutted. No idea if true but he was alluding that he makes 50x more than he ever could from twitch subs if he was a partner.

I wonder if they will be allowed to display the website name on the casino screen, if so I imagine the casinos will just build some kind of overlay in that shows when somebody logs in.

Yep, they will link their website as Jokey said, now I am wondering if  they will be allowed to have nightbot and streamelements  with timers with their links, or is just about the banners

If you watch his latest stream, at around 7.09 into the stream someone tells him, he looks a little deflated then thinks it's just France it will affect. You can actually see the panic when he realises that he will have to remove all links and banners etc.

It's weird with Twitch - redirecting to your own website can be a breach of ToS but a link tree is fine. No idea how they figured a link tree is acceptable.

If i go and get a bronze verification badge, would this let me get around the rules as i would be 100% verified as not playing with fake money.
