What are everyone’s thoughts on this? I can see Rolla is keen to get verified.

I can foresee a couple of potential problems:

1) Although streamers like Chipmonkz and Fruity Slots will get verified which is great for them, the ‘badge’ you receive will automatically associate streamers like them with Rolla who, for me, are very different.

2) Are the checks thorough enough? What’s to stop a one-off payment from a shady casino to a shady streamer paid into a different bank account that the “thorough checks” wouldn’t pick up?

3) How can we trust this site? Although they say they are independent and only acting in the interest of the casino streaming community, how do we know they won’t receive payments to verify non-genuine streamers?

4) What happens when a streamer we all know is genuine refuse to sign up?

5) Roshtein is a prick.

The fact that chip has managed to get verified says it all really.

I think the problem with this site is that it only appears to verify individual videos; so you could do a video at ABC or 21 and get the badge to say your verified, then start promoting rollbit or some other shithole.

It's a good idea in principal but I can just see this being a nightmare which the fake streamers will use to their advantage.

Chip does use real money mate, but he is a strictly business-only streamer and promotes pretty borderline casinos. And I think the checks are a lot more thorough than you’ve suggested.

I think point 1 is something that would concern Rolla but he’s too polite to say it out loud.

Not really mate - look at what is needed for the bronze award: "streamer has verified a recent stream of our choice with casino back office and corresponding deposit proof". So basically they veryify one of the streams where someone has put a video up and the streamer gets the bronze verified streamer badge.

They can then stream whatever they want and claim on their own personal website "verified streamer"

100% on this.

If someone like Foss or Xposed etc. manages to get verified then they automatically get associated with everyone else on the list so it could end up with streamers not wanting to be verified as they dont want to be linked with certain people

This is the point im making as well. He has had one video verified but now has a link on his about page that makes it look like he is a verified streamer. So only one of his videos is 100% legit but the rest could be anything

You know what, real or not there’s just no way I’d want to associate myself with this utter nonsense:

Who gives a fuck about this other than streamers themselves on who is playing with fake money or not since its already pretty clear and obvious if you are not naive or 12 years old. I have a feeling that 90% of the people on the "verified" list will be well known muppets anyways.

I would sleep so much better at night if someone could tell me if Roshtein was legit or not hahahahaha

I said to Rolla this chaps word basically means nothing as I don't know of him, if it was a pillar of the community that we knew for over a decade like some of us old school youtubers then maybe it would mean something, but getting authenticated by a nobody means nothing, in my opinion anyway.

It would carry a lot more weight if someone like UKGC got behind a scheme like this. When it's someone who had just decided to "have a go at doing it", then it's never going to really get the weight behind it to change the current streaming industry.

I think I would be interested in what the large 5 figure sum that verified streamer says it costs to run is being spent on myself.  It says the site is being run on a not for profit basis but why is this guy prepared to lay out that sort of money if there is nothing in it for him especially as @MrUKHackz   says the person behind it is  not well known and respected in the industry.

The fact that it is so easy to get "verified" for many of the more dodgy streamers  means that the "brand" itself will have little  meaning to anybody who really has no interest in these fake streamers. It can only be used to get the more naive  to part with their money thinking these guys are genuine.

As others have said there is nothing stopping payments going onto the streamers account  via third parties and then being used to deposit "real funds"  to get verified.

I would hope that the real big streamers like Rolla and bandit ( and @slots4fun777 ) would have nothing to do with the site as I do not see what  they have to gain from it  and if it turns out to be false it can only drag their name down by association with the dodgy streamers

I am sure we could come up with a training course costing a few hundred to help you pass the qualification criteria

If the likes of chip, hideous etc are able to get verified then I would say the whole venture is pointless and counter productive.

The problem also is that if the streamer is in bed with the casino then it would be in the casinos interest to fudge some payments, it helps their brand and the streamer representing them.

The only way to do it properly is, as already stated, have it run by the ukgc. Not some random that no one knows anything about. Make the verification process more stringent and if a streamer has deals in place where they only risk a small portion of their own money then let them have an award along the lines of verified streamer with low personal liability.

Think this actually sets the whole issue backwards. All we will here from the likes of chip is, im verified legitimate and too many people will buy into it.

This is my main concern mate. Let's be honest, most people can't be arsed to read casino T&C's before they sign up; how many will just see "verified" and not do any digging into how legitimate they actually are (especially if they just have to have one video verified to get the badge)

Who gives a fuck - a badge or something won’t alleviate my concerns. These streamers aren’t adverse to dodgy dealings. Who’s to say the owner of the company isn’t one of these streamers trying to clean his image. Way I see it there’s not any real legit streamers.

you’ve got a load of unwatchable guys under £1 stake and Rolla. Everyone else is fraudulent the fact the bandit was one of the guys pushing for this badge says it all.

I’m not racist I have a black friend - I’m not a fake streamer I have a badge type deal

Rolla still draws a crowd and I watch him to show support but honestly I haven’t watched a frame of a slot streamer in over a year. I’ve since discovered hardcore porn on the internet free of charge. Instead of watching wankers I have now become one
