Hey all! I am increasing my knowledge in the game of blackjack, as I have only just dived into this world. Now I'm wondering if you guys can get me started with the best/basic blackjack tips that are good to use for a beginner.

I look forward to hearing your answers!
Thanks in advance

There are no other tips but to learn everything from the spreadsheets or look at them while you play.

@Jonas99 Study the basic strategy shown above and try to memorise it, that's all you can do to begin with.

If you happen to have a photographic memory you can also track the picture cards in a land based casino but now we're talking rain man stuff!

The best way is to play with yourself as dealer and player and you'll get a feel for the variance too, it's not unheard of to lose 30 hands in a row..

The basic rules of blackjack revolve around the need to stand or take a card . In most cases it’s common sense .

stand on hard 17 18 19 20 21

stand on soft 17  18 19 20 21

stand on 12 13 14 15 16 etc if the dealer has a 4 5 6 ....

always double down 9 10 or 11 if the dealer has a 4  5 6

good luck

For me, these blackjack sheets and playing by the book strats is all bs. Unless you can count cards there is basically no point giving yourself hope by following this tripe. The house edge will always fuck you deep and hard. Thus, play however the fuck you want, most people wont ever get close to the millions of hands these sheets are based on and thus the variance over a small sample of hands will always be completly fucking random. Even if by some act of god you do get close to those amounts of hands, you still wont overcome the house edge. Basically the best tip is to not play blackjack at all.

If you play for years it will for sure make at least a small difference, everything you do in life its smart to do as optimal as possible to get the best outcomes and of course with gambling you will lose anyways in the end but still why not play as optimal as possible if you can? The less optimal you play more edge for the casino.

Tracking/counting in any landbased casino in the uk is virtually impossible now mate due to them using autoshufflers so you can never get a true count. ONly a couple of casinos in the UK deal from a traditional shoe (im banned from a couple of them lol)

Its like that in most of the casinos all over the world now.

I disagree. The average punter will never get anywhere even close to the amount of hands needed for this to play a big factor in any given players win/loss ratio. Even if you play for years its unlikely to make even a small dent towards millions of hands. Now if the opening poster is going to sit playing blackjack all day every day for the next 20 years sure it would make sense to a degree, but I highly doubt that will be the case. Also remember that this so called optimal play is still a losing strat as it still does not save you from the house edge. Overall, blackjack is a losing game, as with anything. So in my view, play for fun, hit/stand/double/split whatever the fuck you want, and when the fun stops, stop

Agree - the average punter will never get close. Especially when factoring in that people on the table will not also be playing optimaly (which would affect your outcomes)

Play however you want is not really helping the guy since he opened a thread asking about tips, he could do that on his own so I show him the most optimal way you can play blackjack and in my mind in general is the best mentality and a way to go in life to have with anything you do even if you do something you cant beat since in theory you will at least lose less in the end.
We all know that you lose in blackjack on the long run just as you do in any game in the casino so I agree with you that if its not fun then is the best thing to stop.

I posted the spreadsheets for most optimal play, you can also put the pictures on your mobile phone and look at the sheets while you play live in the casino. Its easy just look at the hand you have and the dealer and do what spreadsheet is telling you to do It cant get any easier than that. After some time you will remember all the optimal plays and wont need to look at it anymore.

Where can I find those spreadsheets?
