A New Start

Recommended Posts

I hope people won't mind me starting my own thread here.

Until November I was almost completely gamble free for about 3 years. I don't know why, but my urge came back stronger than ever and I started gambling again on sketchy crypto casinos. Last week I went full degen and lost months paycheck:money_with_wings:. Hello darkness my old friend.

I'm over it now and I figured out a way to not make the same mistake again. The positive thing is that I'm now super motivated to make my life better and be better.

It just shows you're human @Fudge and tbh i don't think we are ever over it. Sure you already know what's done is done and the only thing that is important is what the future brings. Good luck mate.

Agreed. Its why I never post big win pics, just gives the wrong illusion of gambling. Either post all the times you did your bollocks in as well or don't post anything.

So hypocritical.

I mainly do the horses but I always try and say whether I've won or lost mate (lose most ha )

Off topic but I thought you might be the best person to ask .

If someone has covid ,do you think taking vitamin D will help at all ?

You're consistent, you post winners and losers, you don't just take screenshots of your big wins, fair play.

Ummm, I'm not a doctor, not sure if it would help specifically, but it deffo wouldn't hurt to give your immune system a boost!

As always..... TGC with the great replies.

Good luck @Fudge try to find ways to keep that motivation going and a way you can't ever put yourself in that position again. I don't know much about crypto casinos but what I do know isn't good.

So many people with such great advise to give here, take advantage of that.

It’s so easy to slip into old bad habits but You’ve owned it mate, admitted it to yourself and us on here , you’ve done it, the past is the past and you say you’re over it and ready to move forward. Best of luck mate. Good man for dealing with it head on and nipping it in the bud.

@groundiskey come on then ,what dont you agree with ?

I 100% understand what both you and colourmeup are saying but not everyone does their balls in.

Some people have their limits and stick to them so when they win its nice to share that, especially when that results in a profitable session. 🙂

You do raise a valid point here mate. I always think hard these days before posting any big wins, as a lot of the time I have hit my deposit limits for days before hitting them.

Think it can sometimes paint the wrong picture for new or novice gamblers all these big wins.

When you see posts like this one from @Fudge it should serve as a warning to use the controls in place if you are struggling to stay in control. Sadly self discipline is really hard, I've learned the hard way, like many on here.

Having said that I do enjoy watching other members of the community hitting big on the big / epic wins threads, so can see it from both sides.

@Miller26 I enjoy the constant big win photos from forum members.
I like to see the stake the game has been played at the return, the balance etc. If it's a game I play then I can make a comparison.
My guess is a small portion of people on here don't do their bollox in daily and perhaps have more of a grip on their gambling then others.

I don't see the big wins as an advertisement or encouragement to play a slot, although I can see how people would view it in that way.

This is just my view, not having a go or anything like that mate 👍

I have recently had a very good run on slots and have 150.00 deposit limits on WH and Unibet so the wins I post are exactly what is stated and no sustained losses on tinkering days .... however the thought that my wins may be interpreted as hypocritical persuade me there is merit in keeping them private , since I derive pleasure from some limited success after years of losing constantly . December 1 -to date shows a decent profit , excepting LIL devil , which always takes my money and gives me a bad result on the day .  I have noticed however that some big wins are /may not be  genuine and especially the really huge ones .... ie 5 explorers on max stake is more than I can believe is real .  250k from a 50euro stake is beyond my credibility threshold.

I sincerely believe that posting big wins is a 2 edged sword and do not want to encourage people to gamble therefore my big wins will remain private so that people may rest assured I have not been disingenuous with the truth .

This site deserves probity and posting false wins is anathema .

I actually agree with this. As much as it's nice to see the members win and i wish them the best of luck when slotting you are right that we don't hear much about the losses. I'd put money on many people here who have many sessions with zero cashout. I'm sure many will have deposit limits in place but I'd imagine it goes something like £50 deposit loss. Next day another £50. Then another and another until eventually a big hit comes in and it's shared on the forum. 20 deposits later with 19 zero cashouts and one big hit. Not a criticism to Paul but nearly all his big balances come from either £250 or £500 deposit. It's just sometimes it takes 15 to 20 deposits to hit that big balance. I said a few months ago i was going to do the odd £5 lucky 15. I've actually done only 2. One returned £160 and one returned zero but if i had a big win in let's say a years time i would share it on the forum but i would also say how many i had done with no return.

I think it encourages and gives the wrong idea of what playing slots actually rips your balance 9 times out of 10 .I played slots for years online so I know how it goes, unless something has changed since I quit .

If it was me ,I'd actually point out how much I was in for at least the session if not the month on the post .

Guess we will just have to agree to disagree mate

Solario,if you have won and are up thats fair enough as I for one believe you ,but just putting at the bottom of a big win post what exactly you are in for isn't too much to ask .

I'm not going to go into it and don't want to put people off posting big wins but we all have a responsibility to show both sides of gambling, not just streamers .

This is a public forum as is read by many people

Peace
