Hi,

I'm new here and I've liked Microgaming slots since I was 18 (now 29). However in the last few years I noticed I'm not withdrawing much from playing Microgaming titles. Not many big wins over 1000x and at the beginning I was really lucky and had many such wins. Just a few days ago I discovered that Microgaming decreased RTP in some slots including my two favorites (Mystic Dreams and Pretty Kitty). Those slots had an RTP of 97% for years. But now they are 96%. Did you notice this change with other slots that they have? And what are your favorite games from Microgaming (long term) and do you get a good return sometime? Last two years I spent around €120k just on Microgaming slots while never going above €3 bet size, usually around €1 to €2 and I had almost no withdrawals whatsoever. In fact, I almost never even double my deposit. I usually play at C-Rewards chain of casinos. Recently I took a break and played elsewhere where there are many providers and had some nice wins but then it stopped and I returned to C-Rewards just a few days ago to discover this RTP of 96% in my favorite slots that I always knew was 97% which is the reason why I started playing those particular games in the first place. I usually put in e.g. €1500 and go with €1.8 bets in my fav slot. Normally I have one win of 300x or so in such gaming session but never really go above my initial deposit much and just play through all the money. This has been going on for a long time. I'm just pouring money in but it's not much fun anymore without wins and I'm questioning the whole gambling thing and found this forum to engage with other players and I'm hoping to hear your experiences or opinions on longer term gambling with Microgaming. How does your usual play routine look?

Hope you had nice holidays!

M.

I doubt a 1% reduction in RTP is what has cost you 120k. Slots are swingy, even if they had a 100% RTP there would be massive disparities on either side. Sounds like you've just been unlucky.

Other slot providers have cut their RTP's from 96% down to as far as 88%.

I very rarely take note of the RTP I means it’s based on millions of spins I believe so that 1% isn’t really going to make a difference.

That being said I think you should definitely put some deposit limits in place at the very minimum mate, as you say your just pouring money in and not having much fun. If that’s the case either get yourself on Gamban or take a break or put some limits in place. Please don’t chase your losses or just deposit for the sake of it. Once it stops been fun or you start putting money in because you need some of the money back it’s definitely time to stop.

If you do put the limits in place why don’t you try some different slots and providers, Playing the same two slots will become boring and to be fair the two slots you have mentioned in my opinion there is some much better slots out there and with much better potential, last week I deposited £20 and played on DOA2 18p seeing if I could get a wild line. I didn’t 😂. But I had fun trying it even though it was 18p stake because if that slots goes off your talking thousands back even on 18p.

Microwaving were basically all I played when I stared gambling online all them years ago so I know where you are coming from .I used to love playing avalon 1 and 2 ,break da bank etc etc and wish I still could .

As regards to the rtp ,you are right in that microwaving have joined the increasing number of providers who are offering variable rtp .sadly its the greed of casinos who are demanding this .

For those that think it doesn't make a difference, dropping something from 97% rtp to 96% rtp gives the casino an 25 % upturn on rake from the slot  .would you like a 25% pay rise ?
