DP876
Hey, I've been browsing this website for awhile now as a guest very funny and cool website. I'm just wondering what are the odds of receiving my money back? I self excluded myself from Coral 4 years ago which expired 6 months ago or so(had no idea), decided to make a coral account around 3 days ago ended up losing £11,000 in around 19 minutes of consistent deposits luckily (i guess) i forgot i signed for a self exclusion on my account i began to contact coral (yesterday) telling them that why was i not alerted on the rapid deposits, also im still self excluded to your company but you allowed me to create a new account (Same name, same address only thing different was my email address as i lost my old one) I have spoken on live chat and to numerous amount of people and you cannot be un-self excluded until you contact the spcific team it doesnt come off automatically? According to several companies live chats and friends. I have emailed them an very detailed emal about the sitatuon, what do you guys think? the likliness i could get my losses back

That's correct, you basically have to have a mini interview, a few obvious questions which you have to answer to no or yes to appropriately, basically to cover their arse and do there due diligence in checking that you are fully in control of your gambling. I think that's the only hope you have in getting a refund, probably not from Coral themselves but from there ADR after and if they refuse, that's of course not a given outcome but its the only route I think you can pursue with any chance of a refund. Obviously you may wish to also consider getting on Gamstop straight away as you're clearly out of control if you can deposit that much that quickly, circumstances permitting of course, for all I know you could be filthy rich but if you're not, that's a lot of money to almost anybody, wealthy or not.

Fully understandable, i know i have an issue did extreemly well from staying away for last 1/2 years had a big relapse due to a loss of a friend mental state is all over the place. After persuiing this case i will go straight to gamstop and call it a day. Do you have any recomendations? Should i write up a little email again about you're meant to go through the process on how to come back to your companuy but no you allowed me to create a fresh account with no sort of alerts I have/had an account with you guys already? What is an ADR and how do i get in contact?

Yes I do, its IBAS which happens to be the best ADR in my opinion, I had £2k paid using them, it does take a standard amount of time which is 12 weeks for an answer, it's basically an independent panel of regular people so if you do have to use their services word it clearly and concisely. IBAS also ask that you give Corals a decent chance to resolve the situation with you before requesting their services, it's also free. david1111
@DP876 I've self excluded many times with various providers over the years and I can say 100% that they do not automatically reinstate accounts when the self exclusion period has expired You have to physically speak to someone as hackz said and answer a few questions. Even then if they agree to reinstate you have 24 hours cooling off before you can play. They certainly should have picked up that you already had an account with them and blocked the duplicate account. I hope you get sorted out Edited October 23, 2020 by david1111

It won't hurt to draft it out on Word or with pen and paper though.
crazyrightmeow
"I self excluded myself from Coral 4 years ago which expired 6 months ago or so" - So if you say it expired then you are not excluded anymore. You can self exclude for certain amount of days\months\years so you can play after that expires so there is no need to talk to anyone about that if you didnt exclude forever. I dont know how were you able to make an account with the same name and address and all that stuff, but it will be a hard one getting that money back because if you would, then everyone would just do the same shit and try to freeroll I think but good luck. You can't play after a self exclusion. It's only time outs where your account gets automatically reinstated Edited October 23, 2020 by david1111

On Coral: Self-exclusion Self-exclusion involves a joint commitment from the customer and us. We will take reasonable steps to prevent the customer from re-opening their account or opening new accounts. However, during the period of self- exclusion; the customer must not attempt to re-open their account nor try to open new accounts. Self-exclusion periods have a minimum duration of 6 months. The maximum length of the self-exclusion can be indefinite. Edited October 23, 2020 by crazyrightmeow

Yeah I know but if you take the self exclusion route you do have to speak to someone before they will reinstate as they know you are a problem gambler as you have self excluded yourself The time out options are completely different. They see it as just taking a breather therefore your account activates again as soon as the time out period expires

Blacko
So what’s the scenario if the 11k was trebled and withdrawn till ultimately Corals forfeited the winnings? are we singing the blues?. Corals software should have automatically detected a duplicate account and ended things there?, I’m astounded the system accepted the same name and address without some sort of red flag being raised. Masquerade
As with a lot of customer support reps, the red flag spotter is probably some poorly-paid, perhaps non-native who doesn't immediately spot similarities in name/address formats, is overworked and is probably dealing with an incident-queue that fills up faster than they can empty it - whilst simultaneously chatting to six people by text. Probably excellent software let down by bad process.

Their systems should be red hot with things like this to automatically pick it up and block the said account Edited October 24, 2020 by david1111

Something isn’t adding up here. 2

I work in a highly regulated industry and it's horrendous. It's virtually impossible to be 100% compliant, but the potential fines if you don't comply are huge so you have to be on your game really

Masquerade
It's very easy for an assumption to be made by a person - particularly if they are not trained or motivated. I also work in a regulated environment but mistakes do happen - as David says..... horrendous sometimes. Let's get Anneka Rice on the case and see how many of the top ten bookies she can launder £10k through 1
