Have you seen this video of how the roulette wheel can be manipulated?

Recommended Posts

Sorry if this has been put in here before, but like many of us, I've always had some suspicions on the strange bounces on the wheel. This video I've never come across then I saw it yesterday and thought I would share. Not really shocked, but most the videos out there trying to show the wheel being manipulated are a little sketchy at best.

Hi and first of all welcome to TGC.

Regarding the video which I have seen before, roulette croupiers (good ones) have always had the ability to hit a number or at the worst its neighbours, this is due to something called muscle memory which is built over many years, pretty much the same way Ronaldo can put the ball where he wants on a soccer pitch, so can a decent croupier on the wheel. @Solario333 will confirm this and he was a croupier of many years, I've also asked a handful of ex croupiers and they all said the same, its a skill.

Regarding the remote controlled bouncy ball, I think in person it would be so obvious and on top of that, you the player would notice it, there's a video of a guy grabbing the ball and eating it on youtube as he was convinced it would vibrate in his belly! Alas it didn't and he got arrested!

So to surmise, do they cheat? Well in person I'd say you can certainly get a croupier playing against you but you can also get a friendly one aiming for your numbers so its swings and roundabouts, I guess the safest bet would be to always be polite and friendly and hope the dealer likes you!

I hear what you are saying but you should at least take a look at the video. There's a company in London that manufactures this stuff. We live in the day and era of hi-tech, A.I. etc. Why would you not use the latest technology to ensure that you have a consistent RTP instead of wild swings in your monthly profits?

This is the company that makes these centrally controlled roulette tables

On a side note, my mother was a croupier in Las Vegas and my dad a professional card counting Blackjack player. This is not the same gambling world and infrastructure we live in now. These are not the same games my parents were seasoned at.

John Huxley are the absolute daddy of roulette wheels and probably the last company I'd imagine cheating, they even have super sophisticated software that they sell to the casinos to show any potential bias of the wheel and to indicate where and when to clean it so it performs in the correct random fashion it was designed. Again, that doesn't prevent a rogue dealer so the software also tracks accountability of each staff member.

I think if I was looking for cheats I'd start with particular casinos/croupiers rather than going for the manufacturer, what do they stand to gain from it apart from losing a 47 year old reputation as the best?

*fyi I did watch your video, I also embedded it if you'd noticed

I agree with the rouge croupier theory. However;

If you look at the majority of roulette dealers, they are not "experts". That one video of Rolla's where the PitBoss stops the game, then the ball starts acting mighty funnily.....I truly believe that they have regularized RTP  to stop any wild swings in their own monthly profits. And it is down to technology. And the reason it is not illegal, is becasue the overall RTP is consistent with what regulators demand.

I understand all of this. What is frustrating, is that if it was all just purely maths, then there is nothing stopping someone going on an indefinite winning streak or a losing streak. Yet, everyone experiences that same experience. This takes all the fun out of gambling.

Some do mate, we only get to see our experience and other players experiences that share. Many people play in private and some are 100k up from a £20 deposit, this is fact as I liaise with the casinos and obviously conversate about the industry, some winning streaks would blow your mind :mindblown:

Objectively, that sounds a little shillish. Sure, we've all been up £10k off £20 deposits, but if you don't stop that day, they slowly chip it away. I don't think anyone is singled out, but if you happen to be playing when you are the one potentially affecting the swing in their RTP, you will get raped.

Fair comment I'd say the same to me, but I promise, the player signed up and won £100k from £20, no progressives, just live roulette.

So now you're rubber stamping it? Listen, every single forum on the internet is filled with shills for the casino. The problem is most people are mad and can't articulate or express what they see or know. Usually becasue they are degenerate. It's arbitrary whether you are or not. There's just too much money in this game for it not to be manipulated in some way.

Ok, let me put this to you. I am part of the team that sold the A.I. to William Hill....So I know as a fact that it's all manipulated. No jokes there.

The only reason I have chimed in is becasue even Rolla, who KNOWS it is manipulated, says things like "I'm not one to believe in roulette conspiracy theories"

It's not conspiracy, it is fact. But everyone on the "other side" all say the same thing, trying to make the gamblers feel "crazy/stupid". And there's not enough people on the correct side who can articulate and express what they have experienced and seen without looking like a lunatic. Because, as mentioned before, they are Degens and or mad.

So your mother was a croupier in Las Vegas and your dad was professional card counting Blackjack player and you are a part of the team that sold the A.I. to William Hil so you know for a fact its rigged but yet you are posting some random youtube video of "rigged" roulette.

Sure buddy, we all believe your story.🤦‍♂️

My mother and father were astronauts and I was born on the moon btw.

I'll presume you're new to the gambling side of the internet because if you weren't you'd know of me and know I'm the opposite of a shill.

I maybe a degen but thats irrelevant isn't it, surely it doesn't mean my vast experience is suddenly redundant on the subject of gambling does it!?

Anyway I'm not one for drama or arguments so I'll slip away and put my tinfoil hat back on!

Wow that's crazy, would like to hear a few more of these instances where a punter has really come up trumps, especially from a from a small deposit. Like you say if the player doesn't share their story, these little gems just go untold.
