Chipmonkz Nickslots and the rest to lose 90% of their viewers?

According to Dunnover AKA DAzza G, YouTube casino streamers and content providers will have to age gate all viewers. This is not a simple drop down with a DOB input but a full verification with ID required.

This is in response to the UKGC directive which came in to effect from the 1st of this month.

This is only for affiliates who promote casinos in their content not others.

Will we see a boom in Pokemon or Yorkshire tea?

Tons of ways around age gating already

few minor adjustments too youtube links and your in

There's no way around what Dunover is chirping on about in his video above, each and every single viewer must be ID verified as an adult to watch your stream if you are promoting aff links for gambling, any break of this rule will see the UKGC fine the casino in question and then that casino will sue the streamer for up to 50k as well as take all the players you built up with them.

So basically signing in to Youtube to view is not good enough anymore, the UKGC want every UK viewer vetted by Youtube admin and this can only be done by selecting Age Restriction on everything like our @Rocknrolla already does, Youtube then check ID/credit card info to confirm the age of the viewer. It's a big big change this time.

Hope twitch can get this also.

Just an observation, why can I watch any of Dazza G's videos while I'm not signed into Youtube???

He has a link to his site in the description too so clearly an affiliate channel/videos, even the video he just made doesn't require me to be 18 yet it's about age gating and he has a link to his affiliate site in the description!

Bit hypocritical, no?

I am so pleased about these changes. A long time coming.

Slowly and slowly things that should of been mandatory from the start are making their way in, video game companies will feel the wrath next e.g Fifa coins

Bookies on football shirts really do rub me the wrong way also but a lot of the clubs wouldn't manage without them so its would of them things.

Im not so sure about videogames because nobody is pressing them, here with casinos you have UKGC but with videogames you dont have anyone but govs to do the pressing.

He divides opinion but is pretty well read in UKGC legislation.

He's actually about 50% versed in the UKGC legislation.

He's saying it's in the LCCP update from October 1st in the 6th edition. the LCCP was last updated in July not October....

I think he means  that the guidance is effected from the 1st oct..

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I took the new LCCP-6 update from 01/10 to mean the on YT any UK-facing casino advertising would only be visible to people who were age-verified on YT as 18+, because the mere act of subscribing does NOT 'age-gate' the subscribers at all? My definition of 'age-gating' by the way is YT subs/viewers who have already verified with YT themselves as over 18.

If there is a requirement to fully verify the account with ID then they lose their entire business INSTANTLY. Even of-age people (like myself) won't watch. I'll tune into streamers but I am not going through the piss take of verifying my twitch/youtube account just to watch them.

The end of streamers is coming.

Holy shit that is awesome. Streamers are actually going to get held to proper advertising standards now. And if they fail then the UKGC fines the casinos who sue the streamers. Streaming as an affiliate is no longer a risk-free thing at all. They are on the hook. AWESOME. This is the best news I have seen all year.

Another thing is this might drive people to just use fake money and not offer links (such as Gabriel slots who most people say plays with fake money - and offers no sign up links)
