Kev40
All the sums are minus his winnings plus he wants 8% interest . Ok ladbrokes should of stepped in but this guy is taking the piss and should take responsibility for his actions.

He wouldn't be suing if he'd won that amount
howfin
If he had a dedicated telephone line how were they to know he was in Spain and not in the UK at the time? Plus does it even matter? No idea on the law of this shit tbh. Either way not bothered really, if he's able to stake 3.3 million in bets hes obviously pretty well off
philinvicta
I think the main point is going to be that he is a UK citizen by the sounds of it and that he was putting the bets on in the UK by phoning his local shop. The shop would not know where the call is coming from as well and if he was using a card to pay then it would likely be from a UK bank I would like to see how he can prove which bets this relates to as well, I would expect this to be kicked out of court pretty quickly. RB91
I used to use Skybet when I was in New Zealand, on my UK card, from the UK address. Fuck him, silly prick should take the hit.
Rocknrolla
Zero chance they'll pay out! And if they do I'm off to Spain for a few weeks and I've mentioned it here so 21casino know and should not accept my bets 1
4houghts
The bookies use every card in their hand to not pay out, only have to look at the countless examples they have used egregious terms to not pay a customer I hope the guy gets every penny back How can a bookie claim any sort of player protection letting someone gamble 400k a week no matter the size of their bank balance

howfin
I mean, its obviously a sad story of someone whos has everything and lost it all and trying to claw back as much as possible. Surely he being a big boss of companies and his legal team should know this is fruitless though.
Mad Slasher McGurk
Anyone remember on the Betfair forum years ago there was a guy who had got cheated by Ladbrokes and had made it his misison to bankrupt them, he put up a L15 every day on the understanding that everyone put it on at Ladbrokes and he actually did quite well at times, the only problem was I think people taking his selections were just putting them on at their local bookies no matter what it was.
