Tonight Stream on Youtube

I have made the decision to move on Youtube, and not to stream on twitch anymore not because of that tweet or what other streamers have said, is just because is getting harder to get any deals for now with any casinos if you want to stream on twitch (from UK) and as someone who already streamed for 1 year I can say that is easier to grow on youtube rather then twitch.

Like @howfin said earlier is no big difference of the age gating on youtube and the mature audience content on twitch , so at some point, everybody will stream on twitch and youtube.

P.S When I said deals is not about fake money or streamer RTP 😄😄😄

Who really cares anyway? Even if the UKGC do go on to ban Twitch, things will simply move to Youtube and the shit show will continue there. It's not like Youtube have any real hard age gating either. Twitch will on doubt implement some form of age gating if it happens to nullify it eventually as well. UKGC should just ban all gambling streams. Fact is, all of them exist to get you to sign up to X new casino and dump your money with lucrative welcome bonuses. It's disgusting and should be cracked down on, not just on one specific website, but on all of them.

No streamers, no Rolla, no forum. It’s a bit like having a pint in ur local whilst having a go at the landlord for selling alcohol.

Think streamers are the top of the iceberg tbh considering how many gambling adverts are beamed onto mainstream tv every day.

Not necasserily, but probably the case, yeah. But still, if this forum died it would be a shame, but not the be all and end all. Rolla isnt exactly active these days and he went awol for months before and the forum kept going. There's also plenty of gambling forums and such out there with no main dude at the helm or streamer.

The community here is pretty strong, but for sure in recent times things have been slow. People mainly turn up to enter the competitions then are never heard from again to the next one. Why is that though? I think it's simply down to the audience that is attracted to this sort of site in the first place. Mainly slot players who arnt interested in gambling on anything other than slots. That leads to no interaction with any threads except for big win sections and/or competitions.

Other websites that arn't started from slot streamers keep their community alive as they are mainly found by people interested in sports betting, which drives engagement and discussion, as thats the nature of sports betting. So the forum does have the potential to grow to a more wider net of people through football/horses/nfl/etc. The problem with that at the moment is, most members here are slots only, thus any threads in sports section remain virtually uninteracted with. It all lies with @Rocknrolla and how he wants to expand the forum, which can be done, or if hes happy keeping it the way it is until it dies.

My senses tell me Paul is at the end of his streaming cycle anyway, so probably deep down hes not bothered with growing the community into different sections. Thus, the forum will eventually die off due to regulation or lack of interest due to Paul not streaming slots.

I have been liaising with the UKGC (and anyone else that will listen) for years regarding social issues that gambling cause. The presence of gambling related content on Twitch has been a frequent subject. I am unaware if what has been suggested is happening now but it is not enough if so, it should be removed from YouTube too.

However at least with YouTube you can just mass report a channel and due to their customer services being so inept it can prevent the channel going live for weeks or even months.

I don’t know much if anything about Paul but I remember him saying a while back he doesn’t have the resources to stream as much these days, let’s be honest no one is going to watch him playing micro stakes. It’s the same with The bandit, he isn’t seen around as much these days. This twitch crowd can stream as much as they like as they simply don’t play with real cash, some idiots out there don’t believe they are watching a badly acted movie.

I agree with your views on the comps as certain members lurk around contributing nothing and suddenly appear when a comp is on offer. Paul tried working round this by offering a comp for members with over 200 rep points, only problem with this is that a fair few users have those points not by contributing but rather other users wishing them good luck on their daily picks during the racing festivals.

I very much doubt Paul is waiting on his forum to shrivel up and die, he most probably has significant investment and time put into it.

You know I’m trying to think of five top football teams who’s shirts don’t have a gambling firm emblazoned on the front of it. Back in the 90s just about every major club was sponsored by the breweries I.e. carlsberg, Holstein, mcewans etc.. till that was frowned upon

Thats moving into the territory where it is actually kind of difficult for the UKGC to do anything as the age old argument is that it will kill off the lower level teams that rely on the income a far bigger impact than it would have on any large team.

I am just happy to think that if its true maybe I played a part in getting those content producers using UK licensed casino's punted off Twitch. A small sense of accomplishment.

The tweet from Chipmonks is interesting though. He said "This may not be enforced by every casino but i have been told by 3 so far that this is happening." If the UKGC were to implement a Twitch ban surely it wouldnt be up to individual casinos to decide if they listen or not? The most likely ban will be for unlicensed casinos being streamed on twitch. That would make more sense. So probably anyone/most moving to Youtube is using unregulated casinos / fake funding / fake risk. Until UKGC confirm anything though its all speculation

"We do not talk about individual cases but I can explain our approach to unlicensed sites. When illegal gambling websites are brought to our attention we take a number of proportionate steps to protect consumers in Britain. This will initially involve assessment of whether the site is actually used by consumers in Britain, and then may include engagement with the site owners, and ultimately working closely with advertising and payment providers to cut off sources of customers and access to funds. --- UKGC 2018

For now its all speculation, there is nothing written anywhere that this will happen, maybe some "drama queens" need some attention who knows, we will see @MrUKHackz he knows as he have people inside but he does not want to share with us for now 😄 😄

From what I've been told it's due to the age gating on Twitch not being good enough, whereas on youtube its deemed sufficient as you would need a +18 account to be able to watch. I hear it will also affect poker streamers who have a much larger following/viewers so I'd be surprised if in the future twitch didn't do the same as youtube.

That has been my key point when liaising with the UKGC etc about Twitch in particular. There is quite simply no form of protection on Twitch whatsoever. Well if it is true this is excellent news.

Yeah who cares, my kids can get down the food bank and me and you can cut about the job centre all week, good times!

To be fair, I have no idea on the structure of how this site works financially or how much you or paul rely on its income. I always assumed it was a side thing for both of you and not your sole source of revenue.

What can we do to pull this forum back ? I'd be absolutely gutted if anything happened to this forum i really would, and especially as it would mean a certain individual witnout income. There is so many things we could discuss and or talk about but it seems no one can be assed. As for racing/football i often view these threads and the footy one comment nearly every week. I think people on here are aware they get railed for betting tips therefore maybe get put off posting or post after the race(betting slips)

What ever the case lets try pull it back. I miss writing on every single post that gets put up 😂😂😂 but I've definitely lost my mojo on here.

I think you'll see other ships sink long before the good ship TGC take on any leaks, it may seem quiet but we have a huge amount of guest traffic. We're not going anywhere matey!

He who won at Kempton. Number One at Wolverhampton. The Bookies Alarm Bell at Southwell. The Lord of Chelmsford. Mr No Hassle at picking winners at Newcastle. Sir The win is sealed at Lingfield. One day I shall hand my many titles down to someone deserving. Kind of like in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, but instead of Caramel and Honeycomb Toffee there will be Win Singles and PornHub Premium.
