jaydublin11
Congrats if somebody here got it ... I was playing roulette and crazytime from 5 am this morning(payday) didnt go well . Then took a smoke break and checked the history when i came back it was 1,1,2,2,CT,CT , So I just thought it was going to be dead after that 2 crazytimes in a row so was just playing and loosing on Roulette. Went back to crazytime an hour later and everyone was talking about 8,000x on blue flapper( I always pick blue ) . So checked on tracksino and that 8,000 x was just 5 mins after I left thinking it was going to be dead. I know it was just not meant to be for me but canț stop moaning about it . Cant imagine for people who left that exact moment . Timing is everything in these wheel games. https://tracksino.com/w/cdHphY2suWZc Edited September 3, 2020 by jaydublin11 Couldnt reduce the size of emojis , still no 1 1

I know it's not easy but it's done. Whatever you do, don't chase what you think you could have won Sorry I already chased and lost the battle David . Broke on payday again , that 8,000x was enough for me to go mad . Few days ago good people of this forum suggested that i should consider quitting gambling if I canț handle the losses. I replied saying I just want to be able to stop when i win decent . I was never up today but just couldnț stop redopositing until my bank account reached 7 euros which is less than minimum deposit on RIZK . I didnot even pay pay my rent and my outgoing calls on mobile disconnected 3 days ago for not paying my mobile bill but I started gambling as soon as I got paid this morning . Now need to find some lies to say to my Landlord. Now I am very sure that I cannot stop if I start , no matter how big the win or loss is . Started playing this morning saying to myself this time I definitely follow my rule of not depositing more than 200 euros but I just couldn't stop until there was no more money left. Feel sick now , its all my fault ... I just want to remember how i sick i feel now before I start doing anything stupid again in 2 weeks when i get paid. 2

david1111
@jaydublin11 it's a slippery slope you are on which you need to get control of. I'm not one to preach, but whatever I gambled the essential bills were always paid. I know there's not much point saying you must stop because unless you want to it's not going to happen. One thing I do know is that you can't gamble yourself out of trouble. Edited September 3, 2020 by david1111 1

The notion of stopping on a win is a pipe dream as no amount that you're feasibly going to win is going to leave you feeling accomplished, you will always be left with that thought of winning again, which will result in further losses. That sense of accomplishment will only be achieved long term by self excluding from as many sites as possible now and resisting the urge to seek out others. You're on a slippery slope if you're to continue, debts can be accumulated quickly, easily and soon become unmanageable. You can choose to make a stand now, exclude, find the strength to stop and commit to it, or you can be in the same position again in 2 weeks, feeling the exact same way. Unlike his racing tips, @Denman is giving this tip in good time - take it, act upon it and good luck.

Years ago i vowed a visit to an arcade would be my last. I went with £180 and walked out with £600. Two weeks later i returned and lost £1500. Fast forward to last year and one week after my gamstop period had expired i had a nice 2.5k win in the middle of May. By June 8th i had lost what i had won and more besides. On both occasions i wish i hadn't won as i would of been better off in the long run.

jaydublin11
Hi @Kev40 , so i read all of @Antonin posts and I noticed you were 71 days off from gambling on 18th august 2019, except that £10 pounds weekend poker. Just curious to know how you doing now , are you still keeping it that way mate ?

Just curious to know how you doing now , are you still keeping it that way mate ? Hiya mate i think i stopped round about june 8th last year after gambling for well over 30 years. I am currently signed up to gamstop for 5 years barred from my local arcade as well as the local bingo hall. Since june last year i have had 2 lapses and i couldn't say honestly i won't have anymore. Everyday i wake up relieved i have not gambled the day before and with a bank balance in the black. I'll be honest it's not easy but i don't want to waste all the good work i have achieved. I still do play poker but nothing else and extremely small stakes on a friends account. I have never even been tempted to play on the casino part of the site and I'm confident i never will. I can't say 100% say I've given up gambling because of the poker but slots and roulette were always my poison and i feel relatively confident i won't play either again. I can't say for definite i won't lapse again but i will continue to be determined i won't. In the first year each day becomes easier and in the end it feels normal not to gamble. I'm very confident that you will stop but only if you want to. You'd be surprised that only after a matter of days the urge becomes much less. Whatever you decide to do ( I hope you do stop personally) i wish you all the luck in the world. This is a great community and if ever you need help support or advice there will be always someone available to talk.

jaydublin11
@Denman To be honest I thought about it but it felt brutal to do that so I just went with timeout for one month now . I started gambling 5 years ago and got addicted to it very soon after i started it. In the first year I slowly lost all my savings and in the last 4 years not a single payday was gamble free and for the last one year I started selling stuffs and missing bills to feed my addiction . So i would be very happy if i dont gamble any part of my next 2 salaries( i get paid fortnight ) to start with. I will spend time keep reading about gambling addiction and keep reminding me the horrors I went through in the last few years. Hopefully in a months time , my brain works differently and i am able to be sensible . I will be honest here in whatever i do. jaydublin11
@Denman After typing the above post I asked myself the same question you asked me . Why the f**** i am still hesitating to self exclude . Gambling didnt do me any good in the last 5 years and its not going to do any good in the future. Straight went back to self exclude for good but it didnt let me in as i am on time out already ( stupid me ).

Your brain will never work differently and the only protection you have is to do as David says and contact them and self exclude. If you had any semblance of control you would not be where you are now. I am sorry to say I have seen gamblers like yourself and believe me when I say I have seen them gamble away successful businesses and big houses. For your own sanity you need to self exclude and resist all temptations to go anywhere near a gambling facility and that includes days out with friends at the races or the dogs.
