howfin
Thought's on this? Rangers Football Club Statement RANGERS FC·SATURDAY, 11 APRIL 2020· WE have been presented with evidence via a whistleblower that raises serious concerns surrounding the SPFL’s processes relating to its stewardship of the voting on the resolution presented to member Clubs. Rangers’ Interim Chairman, Douglas Park, attempted to discuss this evidence with SPFL chief executive, Neil Doncaster, who initially refused to do so. The SPFL followed up that call with an e-mail, which we believe was a thinly disguised attempt to silence legitimate concerns. Rangers will not be bullied into silence. We believe it is in the interests of all Scottish clubs and supporters that the evidence, which is alarming, be addressed as quickly as possible. The voting debacle and the evidence we possess raise serious questions concerning the corporate governance of the SPFL. Mr Park said: "The lack of leadership and responsibility from the SPFL as a members’ organisation has shocked me. If ever there was a time for complete openness and transparency, it is now. Crucial decisions are being made on the issues of promotion and relegation behind closed doors and without proper time for consideration or debate. "The farcical conduct of this affair seems to me to bring the corporate governance and business operations of the SPFL into sharp focus. It is an example of an undemocratic culture, which has existed within the SPFL for far too long. “As a member club, we are disturbed by the evidence that has been presented and feel there is no choice but to call for an independent investigation into this entire matter. Each member of the SPFL board has a duty to its members to ensure that such an investigation is instructed without delay. “All we ask for is equality and respect. In the past few days, we have become alarmed at a seeming lack of even-handedness and fair play from the SPFL. This is surely unacceptable and, if substantiated, must be remedied. “Other member clubs, who have seen the evidence we hold, share our concerns. “We call for the suspension of the SPFL’s Chief Executive, Neil Doncaster and its legal adviser, Rod McKenzie while an independent investigation is conducted.
h0tsh0t87
Is it a coincidence that rangers bring this statement out at a time clubs are struggling for money ..... I believe that this statement was made to detract fans attentions away from potential financial issues fairly soon . also rangers want the season null and void but are still wanting to keep all the prize money when the spfl rejected this they say it’s unfair

howfin
Rangers are obviously doing all they can to stop Celtic being crowned champions and I dont hold it against them. According to reports the deadline for the vote, which was Friday at 1700 BST, which has now passed, turns out to be merely an advisory and not an actual deadline as laid out by the SPFL. According to regulations clubs have 28 days to submit their approval or dissent. Either way this does show how much of a sham the SPFL are

The appeals process is a joke . But rangers trying to deny Celtic who are 13 points clear with 8 games remaining ( when rangers were majorly off form ) the title but are still wanting to keep sponsorship , season ticket money , cup money etc using teams fighting for a relegation as a excuse is disgusting . it’s the same with there constant dribble about the refs being against them and Scottish football targeting morellos Rangers applied to be in the spfl and must play by there rules if they like it or not . Yeah it's painful to read their recent statements. I mean how can they come out and request the SPFL dish out prize money yet void the league. Their trying to have the best of both worlds which of course benefit them, get the money they need and also stop the 9 in a row. Cant see them getting their way in the end, but you never know, the more shit they throw out and the more delays they can get might just get them there.

RB91
Dundee definitely aren’t being awkward because their closest rivals are running away with the league anyway... absolutely no club in Scotland would behave like that.

Though, dont get me wrong, anyone would do the same in their position and the SPFL are truly handling this terribly.
