Clairvoyance/Medium Fact or Fake?

What do we all think on this subject.

Is it possible to summon the dead and I'm not talking about @Blampy after a night in the caravan club bar.

I find it fascinating and believe in it more than I don't.

Anyone got any personal experiences you would be willing to share.

If you could summon somebody who would it be and why?

1. Why would your family member only come back and make contact if you pay someone money?

2. Why do these mediums research or ask for prior information in order to make contact?

They just make money of vulnerable people imo and should be made illegal.

Make some very valid points bud!

My partners nan likes to see mediums. She told me about one that she saw, just after her husband passed away (11 years ago), and the lady knew things about him that only his wife (partners nan) would have known.

Me and my other half went to see a psychic in skeg a few years ago. Theres things she knew about me and my family that shook me a bit. She knew my dad was disabled, and how he became disabled. She knew about my gambling and addiction for bingo at that point. She even knew I was going to be pregnant with twins (I had been told I couldnt have kids, after having 3 operations). I ended up losing one of the twins, but still, she was right.

I wouldn't say I'm religious at all, but I'm quite spiritual. It puts me on edge to think how they knew this stuff.

I've seen some weird stuff when i was younger when we experimented with a ouija board but I'm with i think majority here it's a way to exploit money from the vulnerable and it's fake. I watched derren brown a few years back show exactly how easy it can be faked and how he exposed a fake medium in liverpool if i remember.

My old dear went to see a clairvoyant and described my brothers room and when into great deal about the poster that was hanging on the back of the door saying "Your son has a poster on the back of the door and the capitals Spelled out Omen" My mum took no notice after a few weeks she saw the Poster of Oasis and it read Oasis Manchester Evening News hanging from the back of the door. Personally I don't believe in it but maybe there is something to it.

As expected some see it as a con etc.

But on the other hand if the person knows what they are getting into and it brings them comfort in their life is that not ok

Its perfectly fine bud. Were all different and allowed to have different feelings and thoughts.

In a way i suppose. My mum goes to see a medium every now and then and never begrudges what it costs and does often find that comfort.

I have been to a spiritualist church and my mum went to a clairvoyant both in a room full of people. different people, different locations, years apart. I went with my girlfriend at the time, for support, after she lost her mum. But the guy that was doing it, zoned in on me straight up, and he had pretty much my friend that died down to a tee. And Im as sceptical as they come, I like facts not fiction, but when he come up with a name as well. No going through the alphabet or a hundred names. Bang on first time. I was shocked, but it felt good.

My mum went to one with my Aunt a few years ago, and my mum was targetted, it was my dads mum that come through... and again come up with a name first try and told her things very few people knew about. My mum was impressed anyway.

Guy I used to work with, his son and daugther in law, travel the world doing their clairvoyancy, for individuals and groups. so there must be demand for it. I don't know them, so never asked them questions. But one thing for sure, Im not as sceptical as i used to be, and there might be something to it??? If you have never been, give it a go.

Up until recently I was a staunch denier of the afterlife, I would listen to hours of audiobooks of Christopher Hitchens and Richard Dawkins. I simply scoffed at any notion of life after death.

I visited a medium in April, she requested I bring photos of people who I would like to contact. I asked her politely if could record the session on my phone to which she had no problem with. She took one look at the photo and told me his name (William), she then told me my Grandmothers name and then my Auntie and Uncle. The medium described problems I was having with my stomach and even pointed to the affected area. She told me my Grandfather was a member of the Orange lodge and regretted it as they let him down ( he donated 10k whilst alive and they refused to cancel prize bingo for his wake on the day of his funeral ).

I listened to the recording afterward looking to see if I put words in her mouth, I didn’t.

I seriously can’t explain this. Some mediums are shite, the one I seen has a 3 Month waiting list.

As with all people there are charlatans and then there is the real spiritual being who does know something about your past present and future. However it is rare that the real being will commercialise spiritual power for money since all the information comes freely and money corrupts the purity of the power.

Thats why i think there is something to it.

If you meet someone for the first time and give them zero information how do they know what they tell you

Just from your mobile number you book with they can find your facebook and social media, of course you probably don't have those things but 80 or 90% of people these days do. Remember when they caught Derek Acorah out by putting some fake info on the internet about a place and he looked it up and made a tit of himself on live TV!

I don't do any social media so maybe I should book one and let you know.

Saying that my mum would probably come through and give me a bollocking for being a degen ex gambler

I’ve only ever been to see 1 medium and I need not go to another.

I was very sceptical beforehand and left rather puzzled,

1) I don’t use social media

2) Spur of the moment chance due to cancellation, sat in front of her within 20 mins

3)Person who’s house it was at knows jack shit about me or my life.

I sat in front of her and this is how it went off.

Her,

Who is Tommy or Thomas

Me I don’t know

Her, Yes you do, he passed away something wrong with his head.

Me, No I don’t know anybody like that.

Her, yes you do then she paused and looked at me and said Scottish.

Me, I denied it again.

Her, yes you do he walked in with you, he walks with you.

I denied it again and she carried on with the rest.

So here comes the spooky bit, I’m from Scotland but my accent ain’t Scottish and there’s no way you’d get that from meeting me.

My mum had a brother who died in his sleep aged 21 from an infection in his brain, his name was Tommy.

My middle name is Thomas after him.

Coincidence, you decide???

When I was pregnant they discovered a tumour (none cancerous) but at that point we didn’t know that. It weighed 8lb and they thought I was having a multiple pregnancy till that black mass appeared on the screen. There were so many risks and I’d signed a form to allow removal of my womb etc.  The surgeon (she) who was going to cut it in half and look at what we were potentially facing would make decisions. We both knew there was a chance I would not keep my pregnancy due to the type of surgery required etc.

I came around from major surgery and removed my oxygen mask to see my Grandad sat in a chair. He’d passed away two years prior. He said to me in a matter of fact manner. Your baby is fine, you don’t have cancer and your having a boy. I turned my head to the right and then turned back to respond and he’d gone.

I will never quite understand. I am however always mindful that at that moment I felt utter relief. He was right on all accounts. I’m not sure if I was hallucinating but I still recall him sat there to this day
