I have a question if @Sir Gnome wins this (I hope he/she does as @Jok3st3r will have a melt down ?) how do we know they have not got two chances, as presumably it's not a standalone account ?

I know who Sir Gnome is as they revealed themselves to me privately, it's an old member and they don't use that account anymore.

Adam from UK

I can assure you if I Sir Gnome was to win this extremely challenging event I would be donating any prizes to charity.

I hope this eases your concerns.

Sir Gnome

Just the skeleton this weekend, no picks necessary unless you want to change your selections from last weekends events.

All finishes next week, with Luge, Down Hill skiing and The Superbowl. I will put details up the weekend of whats required.

Cheers and thanks for playing everyone.

EVENT 8.  AMERICAN FOOTBALL  -  THE SUPERBOWL  2nd FEBRUARY

I think we have only lost a couple of players before this jam packed final weekend of action with around 220 points up for grabs. But thanks everyone for taking part. I probably won't do another one of these until the late spring/ summer (to fill the gap between the Aintree and Royal Ascot comps). Instead of ending with the Snooker World Champs, I may start the next one with it?? Unless someone has a good idea. I also plan on doing one revolving around The Tokyo Olympics in September and possibly dropping a horsey comp if you think I do too many? As for this final event... the SUPERBOWL is.

SAN FRANCISCO  49ers    v     KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

To help I will say, the Chiefs have the momentum with 2 impressive comeback victories in the last 2 play off games, mainly thanks to the mecurial talents of their quarterback Patrick Mahomes. But to be honest I think their defence, after conceeding early points in the last 2 games has really upped their game. The 49ers are this seasons revelations, after just a handful of wins in each of the previous couple of seasons. This season they go into the Superbowl with just a couple of defeats all season. so its a hard game to weigh up, but should be a good one, as both are very offence orientated teams.

WINNER  -  49ers/ Chiefs   -  25 points

VICTORY  MARGIN (for either team)  ( 1-5, 6-10, 11-15, 16-20, 21-25, 26 -30, 31+)   -  Spot on 25 points   guess either side of correct margin 15  points

TOTAL MATCH POINTS  ( 0-25, 26-30, 31-35, 36-40, 41-45, 46-50, 51-55, 56-60, 61-65, 66-70, 71+)   -  Spot on 25 points , guess either side 15 points

TOTAL NUMBER OF TOUCH DOWNS IN THE GAME   -  25 points   ...15 points for one either side.

so I need eg    Chiefs  /    6-10  /  36-40  /  6

So after the completion of the skeleton event.

High scoring of 105 points for this event were.... @Crunchie, @therealwintersoldier, @philinvicta, @ColourMeUp and @1pstaker well done guys.

____________________________________________

Leaving the overall table looking like this.... still leading the way is @Crunchie 2nd place is @Sir Gnome aka @RocknrollasDad ??? @philinvicta jumps into 3rd place and I move up into 4th spot.

As Crunchie says still loads of points to play for going into the final week.

Good luck everyone and game on......
