have you tried turning it off and on again?

2.5k seems extortionate to me, but then i always buy shitty laptops for 250-350. I dont really understand the inners of a computer too much, the laptops do the job for me that i need, so paying over that for what i need it for would be foolish.

what does that extra 2k get you? im guessing perfect streaming (watching and doing your own streams?)/ perfect gaming?

SSD - Solid State Drive so when Im editing it can save and render on the fly alot faster than a regular hard drive

4GB Radeon Graphics card - helps with after effects and photoshop massively so i dont get ghosting and lag when drawing/editing

32GB Ram - mainly for after effects and photoshop so the cache has loads of space, believe it or not I use a good 20-30gb Ram doing Rollas intro etc!

i7 processor with 4100mhz

4k Retina screen

Its basically supposed to be a very capable up to date machine so I can have TGC on one screen and work on the other, and its failing miserably, I and the apple guy at stormfront believe it is a hardware problem with the graphics card/ssd/logic board, apple say it passed a stress test so its fine, its infuriating

The streaming side of it is more reliant on internet speed and I have great internet now, FTTP (fibre to the premises) 300mb/50mb and anyway I dont stream! :JMC:

EDIT TO ADD INFO: The guy in the Apple shop said he sold one identical in spec to one of the producers of Blue Planet and he hasn't managed to fry his graphics card yet, so what that means is Rollas intro is higher end than Blue Planet with Sir David, soak that up and let it sink in!! :Mutley:

How long have you had it?

Consumer law is on your side I firmly believe.

The customer is always right (even when there not it seems)

I'm not saying your not by the way.

Example I sold a Rolex on eBay last year, £5975.00 got paid not problem, but did not get feedback (sometimes happens) 13 days later I get a message saying he wants to return it, I ask why and he says he has changed his mind ?

He wore it for a wedding and it didn't feel right, so nothing wrong with it etc he obviously wanted to look posh and we'll to do at the wedding, and then it was suplus to requirements, I spoke to eBay and they said I had no choice and immediately paid him back his cash, before I even got the bloody watch back.

How can this be fair I asked, it's how eBay operate was the reply.

Now I'm ok for money but say you sold it spent the money and this happened?

You would be well and truly stuffed.

*Side note I got watch back chucked in the safe and sold a few months ago for £7,270 as they had gone up in value stupidly.

Funny that as I quoted that to Apple and they said certainly, we just need a report from one of OUR engineers that show its failing and we will gladly replace it free of charge, there stress tests shows green ticks so its a no even though in real world scenarios it has kernel panics and shuts down, its infuriating
