BONUS BUYS GONE?

It's been discussed at BIAM, seems the UKGC have notified the casinos involved with bonus buys and have asked them to remove access to the feature from UK gamblers. I welcome this news as slots such as Extra Chilli are extremely dangerous in design. I remember Kim interviewed the CEO of BTG and asked him why their slots don't have a fast play feature!, this cheeky fucker said they were committed to safe play hence the removal of a quick spin.

It's good to see the UKGC keeping on top of these things.

I don’t really do bonus buys, but I’ve never had an issue getting a bonus on chili.

Agreed - seems to bonus quite frequently for me. People seem to get into trouble when gambling the spins. 8 is all you need on this game had many 1000x hits just with the 8 without any retriggers. If it wants to pay it will

Completely agree with that. I've said so many times that if it's ready to pay, it will regardless of how many spins you have.

What's the point in gambling up to 24 spins when half of them are dead spins

I think its very very good news ,

was pretty insane just as a law was passed to make fobt less destructive ,  bonus buys appear online  were you can rip money even faster and for degenerate gamblers like myself this was like crack cocaine and for previous "sensible" gamblers who were previously depositing x amount and getting a bit of game play whether it be 40p or £40 per spin the introduction of bonus buys i would imagine hugely increase the chances of turning a previously sensible gambler into a degenerate .

Let me be honest, Any time I sat on a slot whether had it been landbase or online... I would not move on or leave until I had a bonus/feature... Now in Aus the pokies(FOBTs) sometimes could pump $1000-2000 Aud without even hitting a bonus on mid stakes between $2-$5.. worse if getting upto $10...

Therefore to me bonus buys are wretched, because people like myself who always play chasing a bonus like we all probably do. To not hit one and lose patience to then buy one that can pay absolute FA or not even initiate 1 to begin with is outright fudging insane.

Say someone has budget £100, does spins on £1, no bonus, thinks it should bonus soon, deposit another $100 (now -£200) several hundred spins and no bonus,  the player or gambler wants that "ding ding" feature.. doesn't happen, budget is blowing out, then resorts to re-deposit just to buy one that pays 15x.. or tbey gamble it and don't win shit.

Theres a theory behind the madness of why slot providers give bonus buy options and it isn't to appease the punter. It's to drain and rinse them.

I'm glad the bonus buys will go (if true) to protect the vulnerable in the U.K.

Cheers, BC

I agree that bonus buys are great for streamers who can have larger bankrolls and pay for multiple buys ,and therefore ride the trough of highs and lows that seem to go with the Megaways style of game, but for the man in the street , bonus buys are pure poison , and should be banned from every site,or premises . they simply encourage you to go online with bigger bankroll to try and take the same return....inevitably rinsing the punter, over time ,and resulting in huge profits for the Casino.

Casinos should declare the profit made form the bonus buy as an RTP then we would see the reality of greed and the that is under our noses on a daily basis.

Its a disgrace that they were allowed in the first place and many punters should be queuing to place a class action of negligence against the Gambling Commission for acting so late in the day , after 100.000 of people have been adversely affected by this underhand action.  Shame on them all !!!!

As was mentioned in the bandits sunday/monday video, bonus buys are not going to be available any longer on uk sites, just a quick question. Does that mean online sites situated in the UK or for all UK players regardless the country the casino is based.  If a UK player is on holiday and accesses their account while abroad in another country that does allow bonus buys is the option then available to them or is it not? Would they have to open a new account? is that even allowed? is it the option denied to one based on their nationality or where they are playing from?  As I may be going on holiday soon and quite like the option of buying bonus occassionally would  be good to hear any1's feed back on this ?

According to Chips video last night night this is just a rumour started on CM and has no grounds. He reckons 100% they are not being removed from the UK market and it is just an issue they had with certain games. I know Extra Chilli and a few other BTG games have been removed from several sites so i guess only time will tell
