What was your first??

My eldest lad is now learning to drive so we have been out and about looking for his first car, after a couple of weeks looking around he’s ended up with a lovely black Audi A3 which I got a good deal on, the insurance has set me back a couple of quid short of £2000 which is expensive but around the going rate these days for new drivers.

Whilst looking around at cars it brought back a few memories of my first car.

My first car was a 1988 Escort XR3i which I bought from a salvage dealer, the car had been previously stolen and stripped of all interior, doors, boot, bonnet, wheels basically it was a shell with an engine, I rebuilt that car myself and was very proud of it.

Which leads me on to my question what was your first car??

Cool, they’ve come along way with the fiesta since my early driving days,

Same as me.... old style fiesta, early 80's model... cost £600. Bought between my sis and I, as I was living in London and no use for it really. Got nicked while I was going for a job interview in Swansea. never saw it again. Only bonus we made money on the insurance somehow.

Anyone had a car nicked? surreal experience, as at first you just think you forgot where you parked it...... ?

Never had one nicked yet but last year I went to Liverpool and parked in a multi story car park, I was late so was rushing like mad, got back to the car a few hours later and realised I’d left the side lights on and the keys in the ignition, I was in a merc at the time so was dam lucky as insurance wouldn’t of paid out.

Its not true what they say about scousers ?
