Crunchie
While the chat is a little quiet, can someone explain what CASINO GROUNDS do? All I see is a forum to chat, display big wins, review slots and advertise loads of casino offers. So what made it worth Millions? Am i right in saying a casino bought it out or game provider? why? Has CG lost its integrity by selling out? what input do the casino/slot provider have in it? I would like to know people's opinions on the streamers themselves. do they represent the normal player anymore? why do people watch them? Are their bonuses getting unrealistic, and leading players into having false hope about how well slots pay? I know guys on here are close to some CG streamers, so I would like to know how they see them. I hope someone out there can help. Thanks Much Love Crunchie x PS. No one bad mouths Reggie on here. I don't know how any streamer can match bandit and Paul for entertainment.

Trashj077
Nick mainly uses calzone only uses leo vegas for his quad sessions, maybe the other guys use leo more. He does seem to smash in the features on pretty much everything he plays though unlike us mortals
Peter clark
Watch nickslots occasionally , pretty sure it was leovegas, have heard him say he made a tidy sum from the deal , I cant see what leo gets from it other than heavier advertising ,on a gambling related forum. I dont visit the site so Iit is only an assumption , his main casinos r calzone , leo , casumo and rizk , he also promoted metal , who I know are a sister company of calzone , unsure if they are all linked , he started doing quad slots a while back , and has had some hefty wins doing this , I have also npt8ced he has been raising his stakes recentlly £20 and maybe max £40 on danger , I think he said a while back he would never do that, and today he had a £3.000 bonus buy stream in which he managed abput 3 or 4 grand profit , down to £96 at 1 point this is a thing I recall he also said , he would never do , maybe just bcos of his money he made from the deal, or just a sign of the times , dunno .
howfin
"Gustaf Hagman, group chief executive of LeoVegas, said: “In CasinoGrounds we see a new behaviour in which persons interested in casino are watching others play casino via YouTube and Twitch. “The combination of proprietary content and the moving picture format create exciting opportunities going forward and is in line with LeoVegas’ strategy to be an innovative and entrepreneur-driven company.” The deal follows LeoVegas’ takeover of Royal Panda for a fee reported to be around €60m (£53m) in October last year. Since launching six years ago, LeoVegas has achieved huge success. In 2015, four years into its life as a company, LeoVegas was already pulling in €83m (£73m) in revenue. The acquisition was made through LeoVentures, a subsidiary of LeoVegas. Edited September 18, 2019 by howfin
howfin
So basically they took a chance with the Twitch/Youtube scene expanding rapidly and saw a oppertunity to get in with the biggest community at the time. I used to watch kim and that until this deal happened. Not a fan of any casinos having direct involvement with these communities, think its a conflict of interest tbf. 1
howfin
CG also posted a response on it on their forum: Hey guys, Yes it's true that CG has taken on a partner in LeoVentures which is the investment arm of LeoVegas. That we've done this has many reasons - the main one being that we want CG and casino streaming to be here in the long run, and to secure that one needs both resources and manpower - which this partner possesses. They also have a completely similar view to ours in how they think casino streaming should be done, which was a major consideration when we started talking to potential partners early in the year. All CG streamers always have and always will be playing with their own funds. The streams/streamers and CG are two separate entities and this partnership does not affect the former directly. In the long run it's our goal to have CG and its platform to support streamers more than it is today, grow the community and bring more value to its members - something we felt we possibly can't do on our own (or at the very least take a long long time) - and that is the main motivation to why this partnership was formed. I hope this clarifies a bit Im sure the statement in general is above board but lets face it anyone would have sold the platform for the amount of money changing hands.
Kruger
I occasionally hear people bad mouth CG, saying they use questionable methods, give their streamers weird deals. Or that they steal other streamers' content for their weekly big win videos. But no one seems to have any inside info, or the ones who do know work in the industry and gain nothing by telling. I don't really care I don't watch any of their streamers. I just assume the whole casino streaming scene is dodgy and many things that the average viewer isn't aware of don' t look good in the light of day. But still don't get why they paid so much, and could have just used it as an advertising platform for a fraction of the cost. I think it has 20,000 members, but if I remember Hackz saying its flow of traffic is less than TGC?? I don't care what jargon then use to soup it up, but imo if LV can then dish out huge unobtainable bonuses (to us) out to these streamers, and we viewers see they are making a mint from playing, like Nick and Slotpinner must have 1000x wins weekly, all it does is serve to encourage people to gamble. But these guys don't stress enough that this is not normal, the average Joe doesn't get these perks. And these perks/bonuses are so lucrative, they have left Sweden, and gone to Malta just to get them..... just saying. Good to see you mate. Get a guess in for the rugby too, were only on 20 or so. You given the horses a rest? I not had a profitable day for over a week. just small few pound losses, just the PP's Im winning are small. Catch you soon. I assume you watch Paul at least? But I agree in some of what you said. Im not sure the CG is ethical any more, can they be trusted to represent a 'gambling community'??? But on the other hand can you blame them for taking a lot of money for what is no more than an advertising platform? probably not.....it's just the deal is ethically questionable imo. adamuk
I think I read it was Nick and Kim and Skyline that set it up, and were the ones that profited from the sale. I also think they sold a % with Leo having the option to buy more, and I think it they became Millionaires off the deal. A lot of thinking in the above and I maybe wrong. Fair play to them they were always going to get hate, but it's business at the end of the day, I don't know who owns TGC is it solely Paul, or has Hackz got an interest? But if someone came along and offers to make him (them) Millionaires over night they would do the same at the end of the day I am sure, wouldn't you? Paul probably would do a massive massive give away to regulars I would also imagine. It has been said on here if you know where to look and can work out there names etc most of the streamers (British) do so well there accounts are visible as they had to start companies, and companies are always traceable. I wish them ALL the best of British, some as we know are more watchable than others, but each to there Own, I have never been the jealous type and in a way I admire them all, for seeing a gap in the market. Lighty45
I believe CS was sold to LeoVegas for around £2.1m From what I see they are basically one huge affiliate group of streamers all in one place. CS share streamers and non streamers big wins as well as a variance of videos such as best slots for such n such month. From what I can see they are the only people doing something like this where you have all the streamers in one place, sure the streamers also have there own sites but I guess it is all about marketing and having them in one place means they get seen by bigger audiences. They get a lot of exclusive first plays on slots as well so i would imagine having someone like Leo behind them swings in there favor when talking to slot providers. Did a couple of them not help in the making of DOA2 ? Either way you have to say it was a great bit of business from CS to see a niche market and exploit it for a few million quid. My thoughts are that this is what Fruity tried to do when they introduced new streamers only to get caught out regarding sharing the bonuses among each other. 1
adamuk
On one hand people will always want transparency, but do you know all about my life and do I know about yours? No Obviously when you start a company and register it, it then becomes common knowledge. Lots of things in life are down to pure jealousy sadly, I don't particularly watch any of the CG streamers in any regular way, I worry about my life not others, and if I can help people on my journey I will. So @Crunchienut be honest if you had started a PIKE FISHING Forum and it got loads of viewers, but you were a die hard Daiwa user, and Shimano came along and said we want to buy half of your Forum for £2,1000 and you now have to use and promote Shimano gear would you say No? Of course you wouldn't and if you did I would personally drive to Wales and use you for livebait

Thanks for taking the time to respond I do follow selected few casino streamers, obviously Paul included. Also realized you didn't ask anything about the streaming side of CG, so my message was a bit off topic tbh. I agree 100% that a gambling community owned by an online casino doesn't sound right, how can they be neutral and trusted anymore. Can't really blame those CG guys for selling, I bet they coudn't believe their luck when LV came knocking on their door.
Roger_aka_Roger
As a former CG streamer I felt I should make some sort of reply.
