For me, The only time anyone should ever use an affiliate link is if it is also beneficial for you

I don’t really think it matters. I think I’ve used one affiliate link in my life, but it makes no difference to me if someone gains from my loss, my loss is my loss anyway, I don’t lose any more because I signed up via a link.

So streamer A that you watch has a sign up offer on 100% match deposit same as the sites sign up offer, streamer B who you don't like has 200% match same terms but better offer surely you take that offer no?

I don’t go around looking for offers, I pretty much only use sky and Casumo these days anyway. My point is that if I did sign up via a link, I wouldn’t care too much.

You’ve made a decent point though, If bandit was offering a 100% bonus, and fruity slots were offering 200%... I’d sign up via the bandit.

So you do care then? Or you would take the better offer no?

I wouldn’t sign up through the affiliate link anyway. The second part was tongue in cheek, because I think fruity slots are fannies.

I tend not to use bonuses anyway. Although bonuses are definitely a lot better now than they used to be, in terms of making things better for the player.

Would be interesting to know of those 55 sign ups how many did @Rocknrolla get a fee for? I'm sure there's certain requirements like wagering a certain amount or depositing so much before he gets anything from cpa. I'm guessing around half if not a little less

Just do abit of digging on companies house and you can see how much a few of the streamers made the past year or so lol

Generally speaking I think casino affiliation is a dirty business (I wouldn’t go as far as saying vile or repulsive), but there’s definitely a wrong way and a right way to go about doing it. And by that I don’t mean pushing it hard and hardly pushing it at all.

I will elaborate on this if anyone’s interested but I’m having my tea at the moment.

I really have no issue with casino affiliation, I’m not gaining, nor losing anything because of it.

To the op you’ve obviously got a bee in your bonnet about streamers making money as that’s all you bang on about you need to get a grip if you don’t like them don’t watch and then moan about them this ain’t points of view. For instance I don’t like netball so guess what I don’t go n watch every game of netball I can just to fucking moan about it at every opportunity.

Fucking bore off ffs

It’s like the people who watch comedians like Frankie Boyle and then complain to Ofcom.

i hardly think that they accidentally watched it.

Ok so what I’m saying is people seem to be basing whether someone is a good casino affiliate or not purely based on how aggressively they push it. That’s a red herring I’m afraid. The right way to be a good customer-facing casino affiliate in my opinion is to adopt a slow but steady approach. Don’t be a smash and grabber, and don’t let greed take over, or you’ll have a very limited shelf life.
  1. Promote a good product. This means you’d better do your fucking research. As soon as you see a dodgy term in the small print or lower RTP’s than other casinos, do not promote them. And go for quality over quantity.
  2. Offer something different. Don’t just do the same old random.org giveaways in exchange for a sign up. Be more creative. Engage your viewers, and don’t just “use” them.
  3. Promote responsible gambling. There’s been enough said about this bit methinks.
  4. Keep your finger in the pulse. Casinos can go rogue. And if they do - drop them immediately regardless of how much commission you’re making from them.
  5. Don’t sit in a CGI tank.

Follow those simple steps and you’ll be as good a role model as you can possibly be in an industry like this, that is habitually always going to have that ‘grubby’ stigma attached to it.

He is very well educated in the gambling world mate, why is it everyone blames the casinos and streamers for their behaviour towards gambling.

Your either a degen or your not, I’m a degen but not because of a streamer or a casino, it’s because I’ve not got any self control and that is a mental disposition that not everyone has, in fact I’ve not got any self control with anything I do.

Go big or go home my friend is my motto in life, I’ve recently been to price up some work in 2 care homes that look after people with dementia and I tell you now it was not a nice place, I could go into details about what I saw in their but I won’t , but I’ll tell you one thought I left with and that’s life is short and I don’t want to be sat in a place like that with any regrets.

Stop wasting time mate before you know it it will all be over.

What age are you mining might?

The youngest bloke in that care Home was 58, a successful orthodontist and pilot everything  taken away from him in the blink of a eye so so sad.

Some streamers may well take the piss to make money but they too will learn.

But for the grace of god go I.

Peace
