What Do You Get From Live Streams?

Morning!

Just wanted to know, what do you get from watching paul & other peoples casino streams?

I personally watch it because A) I enjoy watching Rolla as he’s a genuine guy

and B) because it gives me my fix, if that makes sense 9 times out of 10 it prevents me from gambling. Im not sure If this has been talked about before in here, but I see a lot of none gamblers ask why people watch.

Also, do you enjoy it when he loses? Either out of jealousy or because it puts you off spunking away £500+

I personally like to see him win big.

Thoughts? ?☺️

EDIT: my bad noticed this has been done ? moving on

I get a whole load of entertainment watching Paul and the bandit. We've talked about the impact on people in another thread but as I've mentioned it's down to the individual if it helps them to stop gambling or indeed goes the other way. I don't like to see people lose as I know the feeling. Get a buzz from seeing a huge win maybe with just a slight tinge of jealousy!!

I just like the sexy way he smiles and drapes a cap seductively across his noggin...

I've watched Paul and Bandit Steve for over two years now, never commented but I just enjoy their content and personalities.

They both stopped me gambling which I thank them for dearly.

For me, losing felt worse than what winning made me feel. (If that makes sense?)

So thank you Paul for all you do and the entertainment you provide. After all, it's about having fun in life. Man hug.

Watched both Paul and The Bandit for years now and  tbh they do save me from gambling more than i normally would. They are both funny as f@@k with the reactions also and act exactly how i expect a gambler to react with big or shit wins. I love it when they win big and absolutley hate it when they lose as it makes me slightly tilted and god knows how tilted they must feel after some losses. I think with Paul i look forward to his streams more as they are so unpredictable and more often than not he does stakes no sane man would do! Keep it up Rolla.

I've been watching paul for a while now probably about 6 months or so, i was a degenerate fuckwit when it came to gambling and it kind of helps watching the streams he does.

The fact that he shows all his big losses is a really good thing as there are too many people online who just show winning big amounts which is not reality in gambling as i and many others know but there will always be some who dont really understand the consequences gambling can have, So its vitally important he shows the losses cause you'll get people who don't know the craic  thinking they can deposit £500 £1000 whatever amount and its easy money.

This isn't directed at any streamer in particular,I'm a gambler have been for longer than I care to remember (35 plus years) I don't really understand when people say "if I watch a streamer it stops me from gambling" basically from my perspective and just to add I don't want to stop gambling but if I wanted to stop gambling the last thing I would do is watch someone else gambling, personally I feel if I wanted to stop gambling watching someone else hit big wins (which I fully understand isn't a daily occurrence!) definitely wouldn't help me but probably encourage me to try and hit a win, this isn't obviousy how the majority feel just my own personal view, there are certain streamers and youtubers  I only watch and it's mainly Paul and The Bandit purely for the entertainment value and that they both genuiely seem like good guys that care about their viewers........needless to say when I'm not watching them I'm probably going degen myself ?

Perhaps it's one of those things you have to experience yourself in order to comprehend.

But to me it makes sense. If a viewer connects (I hate using that word but not sure what else to say) with the streamer then the highs and lows of the session transfer across. As strange as it might sound I've genuinely had the hump watching Paul's stream when machine X decides to take the piss. I've also done the dance when the big one comes in. And perhaps that is why people who want or have to quit get their fix without having to use their money as they still go through the emotions of it all which is really why we all gamble anyway.

Here is another interesting in my case. If I'm watching a stream I'm a responsible gambler when it comes to their money.....collect Vs gamble.....take the cash out etc. Unfortunately I'm the complete opposite when it comes to my own gambling.  I feel much more rational when looking at someone else's situation Vs my own. I wonder how that works for other viewers.

One final point is I think because of the length of a stream and the highs and lows that come with it - it's less likely you'd want to go off and do it yourself because you will be familiar with the downside.  Big win videos or big win pictures on the other hand just show those wins with zero context. I suspect they are much more likely to make people want to do something similar i.e. go gambling for big wins.

As a 'recovering' gambling addict when I first started watching streamers I wanted them to loose as it aided the recovery process. Since watching Paul for so long you get to know him and his personality and you begin to support him and wish him luck for big wins.

My problem is when i'm skint watching streamers gives me the fix because I couldn't afford to gamble anyways... but if I've had plenty of work and I've got a healthy bank balance watching streamers makes my urges worse, especially if they win, as I know I've got a few quid to gamble with...

It's hard to get a balance. The problem I found is that if i decided to quit which I have done many times over the years it's fine for the first few months. You then start to feel better about yourself, have a few quid and think it will be ok just to have a little flutter. Unfortunately after one bet you're pretty much back to where you started and the spiral continues

I just like watching, never done slots and looking at them I don’t think they’d do a great deal for me, but I love a dabble at roulette and for me that’s the highlight of the streams (I found Paul from a YouTube video on a massive roulette loss - something that I confess made me feel a little bit better about the 4 or 500 id spunked away that same day). I wish he wouldn’t play roulette to be honest, that’s usually where things start to go bad for Paul. He seems like a very genuine lad and I wish him nothing but wins, especially as he’s had a bit of a dry spell lately.

Yes he is very genuine. The good thing for Paul is that he's got a good woman behind him to keep him on the straight and narrow. Ps. You do right to avoid the slots. They lure you in like a fly to dung

I find the streams highly entertaining and as a casual gambler I can honestly say they have helped me to see the pitfalls of full on gambling due to the massive swings involved. Rocknrolla and the Bandit are probably the two I watch the most, although there are others available, I feel those lads are both genuine and tell it how it is. They don't encourage you to try and do what they are doing so people who blame them for a bad run or for getting into debt are sadly trying to pass the buck. Most of us are watching for the edge of the seat entertainment they provide and are happy to see them do well. Unfortunately you get the trolls that want to put them down and hope they fail! If you don't like it don't watch it.

I only came across these streamers last year. I was diagnosed with a rare spinal condition called Chiari Malformation about 18 months ago which severely limits my movement. At the same time a MRI discovered a brain tumour which cannot be removed without causing major damage. So after 6weeks of radiotherapy I am waiting to see if it has helped my situation. I no longer work and my partner has to help with most things which is an awful thing when even everyday tasks are difficult. I can't drive so my little jaunts to the bookies for my bets had to stop for practical and financial reasons. These streams provide that little buzz that you need in life, so long may they continue and I wish them all luck. ?

So sorry to hear of your situation Patty. I can't imagine what you are going through. I'm sure Paul will be pleased to hear that his streams help a little. I wish you all the best.

Thanks for that David. No point feeling sorry for myself...there are people way worse off than me. I have a great partner and a 15 yr old son who have to put up with me! Poor buggers! ?

Thanks Supernoodles. The worst part of the whole experience is not being able to do the everyday basics we take for granted. My right side is almost useless. Can't drive anywhere so I am reliant on my partner to ferry me everywhere, including the many appointments I attend. It's hard on her and my son but at the end of the day complaining gets you no where. After having two lots of major head surgery you get to see some people in recovery who have no quality of life...and it makes me grateful that I can still communicate and get around to a degree. The tumour is the major issue as it can't be removed so I had 6 weeks of radiotherapy to hopefully zap it or at least shrink it. A MRI next week will hopefully bring some better news. ☺ The streams are highly entertaining and its fills in the time when I could be feeling sorry for myself....got to keep smiling! ? Thanks for your kind words.
