Giveaways, a good idea??

Recommended Posts

Its good and its bad, right? It drives people to sign up and get verified. Sure, there will be people that never deposit and just take advantage of things like this. However, the reason casinos do this sort of shit it because the people that will inevitably play far outweigh those that wont, and thats what bothers me, to some extent. Anyone finding these things has to have some sort of interest in gambling anyway so generally will be playing anyway. I guess due to that i dont have any real hard view on it.

I joined TGC because of Paul and what he stood for and I'm still here over a year later as are many others.

I think that speaks volumes and the fact that nobody has ever really complained about giveaways etc.

I didn't join purely to get something for nothing, it was more about being in a place where you could discuss anything with like minded people.

Saying that there is nothing wrong with giving something back as long as it doesn't become expected.

As a non gambler which is something I thought I would never say, I hope people enjoy the giveaways and respect what it stands for.

There’s already plenty of giveaways for the none signups so fudge them , same ones always win anyways .

As for a casino giveaway, well if it’s legal which I’m not sure it is you would be pretty dumb not to have had them gone through your link . The don’t need to deposit thing is good as some people might be a bit skint one month so they can’t deposit anything.

you showed your signups on them two casinos the other day and to be honest it shocked me how few signups there were .

At at the end of the day the forum doesn’t exist without signups so go for it if it’s legal

I just think that your bread and butter members quite like everything the way it is, i.e your occasional in house comp that results in a giveaway to REAL contributors. I appreciate what you and hackz are trying to do but it certainly wouldn’t stop me coming on here even if there was never another comp

You know my feelings, I've said for ages I want this on the forum, that was the only reason I went to London to meet the casino's, to get free stuff for TGC!!!

Yes there will be the odd person that doesn't want giveaways like that but as @Solario333 say's, it's as noble to receive as it is to give and I want TGC members/viewers receiving!!!

I’m not receiving anything ?

There are no circumstances that would make TGC a great forum more than to give and receive freely.

As individuals we each may do what we can to better the lives of those around us.

We are a family of like minded people who share our days, our misfortunes and our victories...and all because we place care and Love , laughter and happiness before material wealth.

So give what you can and take what is offered freely.....

@Rocknrolla has led the way in selfless giving in setting up this platform . So lets not hear any misgivings about giveaways , or any acts of kindness, because thats why we're here !!

Free will depends on giving and receiving the choices that all around us make daily , so make it easy and go wth the flow......

i feel most members of TGC read topics on the site  but like myself mostly prefer just to watch the banter rather than get more involved. so picking the top 50 active members is going to be mostly the same group every month. Then as for those that sign up to the casino with or without link will exclude many good members that have stopped gambling.

i would think the best way would be all TGC members can enter the draw and then have like bandits draws 1st £500 , 2nd £200,  3rd £150, 4th £100, 5th  £50.

It'd be daft not to take the option from them. As has been said above I can't see why there'd be any issues with it, it's free afterall.

Would also agree on multiple prizes rather than one big one, share the wealth.

I know you want to 'reward' members of the forum, so maybe there can be ways for members, or regulars to gain additional entries per month. Not excluding anyone while also giving say, the top 10 posters for a month an extra shot. Mods an extra 546 entries etc.

When i first joined biam i put forward an idea for a giveaway which was a vote for who you think should win. As i was new i wasn't obviously going win myself but i saw some unsung heroes who had gone above and beyond the call who i think deserved something back. You couldn't vote for yourself obviously but on here i would love to see certain members benefit from this who i would call an unsung heroes.

Problem with that is you have to list a load of names, people will think they deserve when others will think they don’t. It’s all a little too subjective.

If a casino has offered to back the givaways then happy days, and of course kudos to you and the mods for making it happen? i agree with Richie about having more 'smaller' prizes rather than fewer 'larger' however appreciate this means more admin work from your side of course to sort the prizes out etc. Either way its great for the TGC.

We tried that here and it went terrible wrong and I was accused of running a popularity contest lol

Im already afraid for the millions of fake doubled accounts to try and enter the giveaways already. Thats why i actually rarely take part in them anyways.

just find a good middleway i guess, not really sure how i feel or think about it to be fair.

Have no fear bingo king, even with VPN's and all sorts of trickery I can still see if someone is multi accounting, many have tried and they all failed!

You will be receiving a knuckle sandwich in the post if you don't quit your whining!
