Well done for taking the right step for you @david1111 it's definitely the right thing to do given what you said, and things can only can better from here ? I've banned myself from playing slots for 3 weeks now and I don't miss em one bit. And the main the is my emotional state has improved vastly. All the best on your gamble free journey.

Great news David, I'm sure at this point you feel a lot of stress lifted ?

There will times when the craving returns, but you always have GamCare at the end of the phone to talk to. Most of the call handlers are ex-gamblers so they have been through the same journey.

I know there’s no such thing a friends online but you come pretty close . It’s the best thing you could do and you will always be top man on here .

I've just excluded all my accounts for max 5 years.

I just can't do it any more guys. I can't control my gambling so now is the time to take a stance

I've seen @Antonin succeed so I know it can be done.

I can't really say much more

My man. Who is going to do the Peruvian horses with Miller on a Sunday night now? He will be lonely. I nominate MrUKHackz.

Just kidding, best wishes on your journey.

Fantastic. That's really encouraging.

Thank you for fighting a harsh battle by my side. It's your turn now.

I'll be there as much as I can for you.

You're SO brave to say "stop". The life will reward you with a new "start"

Don't dwell in the past, learn from it. The future is ahead ... LIVE IT

The failure will never overtake you if your determination to succeed is strong enough

You're always better off if you quit gambling for good. That's never too late.

At the very end, you know the house always win.

Take it one day at a time.

All the best my friend.

Good luck David. I'm on gamstop and just re signed after my first spell of 6 months. It takes great courage to do what you've done and i truly hope that like me if the opportunity is taken away then so is the urge. I still bet but slots are my problem so for me self excluding was the right thing to do. I know i haven't been on the forum long but i feel i can relate to posts like yours. I hope you continue to be active on the forum as i enjoy your knowledge and opinions on here. All the best mate.

A difficult decision for you @david1111 .  You have been teetering on the brink for a while. Now its time to fill your day with

more purpose and more clarity.  Get involved with something that is worthwhile outside the gambling arena , preferably in nature.

Change your lifestyle and develop an alternative to meet those dark moments when the urge to gamble rises up, and anger begins again.

You are a strong individual with a high moral compass, and common sense, so now you can enjoy your day more.

In 6 months you will wonder what all the fuss was about....

I'm glad that you have made the move to register with Gamstop Dave, initially it can be very difficult as you will be choking for a slot session at times, but in time the urges will lessen and your bank balance will soar. Stay strong lad.

Gamstop is always there if you need it mate, I tried manually excluding but they seemed to open up as quick as i was closing them. An exaggeration I know but there seems to be soooo many casinos out there in cyberland.
