Good luck hardman I’ve got rebels romance & city of Troy in a double

I was on Rebels romance myself.. was shitting myself at the finish as the one in second was finishing fast. Keemon 🇬🇧

Get in! Yeah same mate, both the Sunday racing co Japanese horses who came in 2nd & 3rd ran a great race at big prices. Backers of Emily Upjohn will be fuming. Frankie seemed to have a disaster.

Comment:

Another for Coolmore; lacks early speed so needs a fast pace ahead of him

I think they said it was the fastest run early pace in the classic ever

That was brutal Phil, so much horse underneath him and he couldn’t position himself better.

The only way I console myself in these situations is that it cost him a lot more  than me in lost earnings like when I back a golfer and he blows up in the final round.

Well that was shite, never competitive. In all fairness entering Troy into a dirt race seems like a poor idea, very reminiscent of greyhound races where a fast start is imperative.

Yeah never got into the race at all did he. I knew he wasn’t winning from the first few strides on the dirt

In hindsight it looked a very poor decision to run him on the dirt. The prize money and fame is a huge incentive but it doesn’t suit every horse.

Jeez what a monster scoop. Whats the chances of picking up that kind of wedge in the UK !!.. in fact, why should a jockey consider plying his trade in Blighty 🧐

Punishments are much harder for rules transgression

100k fine and one month ban  for interference !

Would have been worse if they disqualified the horse, seems a little draconian all the same.

All the mucking about to try and get good starts   like in the National where it is over 4 miles so  lord knows what the starter was at in the Newbury 2.30

I was on Galop de chaase, jockey seemed to look comfortable 2 out but the horse just found nothing.
