Today’s selections

Going to have a nibble on Red Verdon at Deauville today, 15.35. Won a French G2 Lto, opposition today similar level barring Telecaster. However, given he is unproven at 1m4 and the very heavy ground, a proven stayer is my preference.

Interesting race next at Yarmouth. I quite like Estate House 10/1 EW to do better today. Was blocked in on last run, didnt get any room to race and some other fuck smacked him in the jaw with his whip mid race. Take a risk, it's sunday, day of god, the allmighty, bring home this piss poor horse for us all

Holly doyle had 5 winners yesterday and is on 3 again today with 2 more rides with decent chances. Possible she can make the 5 timer 2 days running?

She should be riding for one of the big trainers soon. O'brien should swap her for that miserable fudger

Mark Usher Racing News

Runners at Kempton & Newton Abbot

01 September 2020 Mark Usher Racing news

Spirit of Rowdown and Misu Pete go to Kempton; Sellingallthetime goes back to Newton Abbot.

There won't be any 66s about Spirit of Rowdown this afternoon; he goes up to 47 from today as a result of what he achieved at Lingfield so he can run off the minimum weight, 45, this pm; he should run well, the imponderable, as it often is in Summer Nurseries, is how exposed the opposition is but we are confident he is a quietly progressive horse who has more inherent ability than his mark would indicate, witness what he achieved at Lingfield, and we are looking forward to seeing him build on that.

Misu Pete has been backed overnight at the big prices and is two pounds higher than when he won here over a mile just before the Lockdown; from a middle draw the key will be for Isobel to dominate the race over what, now, is probably the gelding's minimum trip; this class of handicap are always competitive but he goes to Kempton in better nick than in his first runs back from the resumption and he should run well.

Sellingallthetime goes back to Newton Abbot looking for one more day in the Sun on what should be ideal ground; since the resumption he has been consistent (his wind was tweaked at the end of the Winter and this has helped him) and, in a competitive quite large field handicap he goes back to the West Country to run well and should have a competitive each way chance under his good friend Brendon Powell Junior. An each way trixie might be the order of the day; the treble might pay close to 800/1.

Arlecchino's Shade and Born to Please go to Bath tomorrow.

2:15 Kempton, Watch the replay and watch the eventual winners turn of foot 1 1/2 furlongs out, first run and looks like one for the note books, potentially a special horse?
