So here it is, Nearly all of us love the sport and we all support different teams, I am obviously an arsenal fan . spursman Posted April 9, 2019 Author Share Posted April 9, 2019 Les start with a great win against Man City tonight, for a while I've been saying I would take a loss in the champions league final against Barcelona and if we get a result there, then who knows. Been a spurs fan all my life, was born in Islington near Arsenal, and lived in Finsbury Park, which is completely Arsenal territory, However moved to Tottenham and actually lived on White hart lane till I was 7. We didn't have the technology we have now in regards to results so me and my brother would stay in the garden and waiting for the roar, to find out if we had scored because we could hear the fans from our garden even though we were a fair distance away, Dunno when I first stated supporting spurs, but at the age of 6 I remember my horrible father laughing on the phone to someone because tears were running down my eyes because we had lost a major game, so my love from them started from a young age. "Can't smile without you" is one of the clubs slogan which sums it up. This is a general chit chat thread, but it would be interest to hear who you guys support and how it all started. It really is the only way you can win on the football. It's the only way I do at times, predicting football results now is impossible. At least once they both score you can relax no late minute heart attacks. I never bet on championship or premier ship purely on the basis I don't know enough.i bet league 1 league 2 and championship. I was betting on Scottish but I give up on them as they are too unpredictable. What I'm trying to say is I'm still learning and you know what I love it I love studying the league and that I'm not clued up on players but I feel I'm clued up on the leauges. I just dunno where I'm going wrong at the moment I really don't. Teams that are winning shouldn't be etc etc. But that's why I love football. Cause it's exciting and unpredictable. The bet from now on will be both teams to score. Start with a fiver and build fromantic there. 4 teams will get us about 60/70 squid. Get a couple of those in and gradually increase to a tenner. Like centipede I aim to take a break till september. I lost a fair bit on Wednesday had ajax btts won. Villa btts and then the barca game. Fancied barca strong, head and heart but barca conceded 4 last game and with United at home did btts which made me sick. Did a chase bet on the nba that agonisingly lost by 1 point and it sent me into tilt mode and ashamed to say I hit the slots and they did what they always do but big time, my fault and deserved. Providing Shelvey starts, 28 to 1 FGS screams value as he will be on set pieces, same thoughts for Ritchie for Pens at 28's too, although it remains to be seen if Almiron has assumed those duties. Rafa will set the team up to play very deep, negating Vardy to an extent. I expect a few changes as last time we played leicester, we targeted the slow pace of Morgan with pacey players such as Yedlin,Kenedy and Atsu. After man City second leg and Liverpool on yesterday I thought I had seen it all then that moura second half happened. I was screaming and running into the other room before the ball even hit the back of the net. I have timed out on most accounts but had a small punt at 5/1 at 1-0 down was so tempted to go in again @25/1 but just couldn't do it. Spurs all my life since 7 and the greatest night I have ever witnessed. I remember going down the lane in 09 when we qualified for the first time. Scenes people on roofs on busses and everyone going mental. I really love klopp and Liverpool and what a final it should be. Kane and winks hopefully back. Really hard to take going out on the 96 th minute I feel for you I really do, but our boys never give up. It's a shame a lot of your top players wI'll be sold but that has always been the way. I know on talksport jason CUndy and goldstein think that too. I'm starting to wonder if I'm wrong wanting both finals to be English based teams. Obviously I hate arsenal with Chelsea and West ham coming a close second, I'm now thinking fudge it kind of but for the country and the league I think it would be great. Don't know? ? Thoughts on tonight I think/hope both will scrape through but from a betting point can't really see anything worthwhile. I'm with you, I'd always want an english or scottish team to do well, but I guess some of the rivalries go back a long way. Guest Posted May 9, 2019 Share Posted May 9, 2019 I'd rather have had a Barcelona vs Ajax final personally. I don't really like Barcelona, but I dislike Liverpool more. I don't mind Spurs to an extent, but I quite like Ajax for the Van Der Sar connection to the team I support. In my opinion we have ended up with the worst Champions League final lineup since Porto v Monaco 16 years ago! What are they even Champions of? 3rd and 4th place last season, lol. Also as a Utd fan I never saw much support from other English people in the 4 CL Finals Utd have been in, in recent memory. I won't watch the final most likely as it seems more like a League Cup final, and who gives a fuck about the Coca Cola Cup or whatever its called now?!
