Frosty
Bettingwise, Durrant EW at 12s is a good punt. Currently top and pretty safe to finish top 4. Each way means your paid at 3s if he makes the final
1pstaker
Wouldnt it perhaps have been better to abandon this years premier league, and maybe put the prize money into some other competitions that those lower down the scale can enter and maybe win some prize money? The lower ranked players could do with a boost im sure.

It would always be good to push some of the money down to the lower ranks in any sport, but it never happens People want to watch the elite, big sponsors back the elite so that's where the money stays
1pstaker
Well, is that performance just now from Van Gerwen evidence that his darting dominance is over? He has been pretty awful since the Premier league restarted, and not been particulalry great for a while. He was so consistent, but I think the bubble may have burst. He will still win tournaments for sure, but can he ever get back to the Van Gerwen of 2/3 years ago?

He still plays well, but only in short spells, just like the rest of the players

Frosty
Premier League starts again just after Easter, 5 nights in a row behind closed doors. I find that this element means that the performances vary, MVG underperforming, and the likes of Durrant overperforming. After tipping Durrant to win at 12s halfway through last year, this year I am siding with Jonny Clayton at 18s this year. He has had a great start to the year, winning the Masters to qualify, then winning a floor event and making several finals too. Each way again, so paid at 6/1 if he makes the final in May. @1pstaker we having a little league for the premier league? Even if no prizes, there has to be a trophy up for grabs!
1pstaker
@Frosty. now it is confirmed, I will come up with something. On the tourney itself, I cant see Durrant doing anything this year. Sure he will go down as a one hit wonder. If he hadnt of won it, I dont honestly think he'd be anywhere being in it this year. Be tempted to have a bet on a bottom 2 of Durrant and Smith. philinvicta
@1pstaker I am watching mastermind and I think you need to enter even their special subject scores are bad. You also should be ok on general knowledge and now you just need a specialist subject

Rob Cross has to be involved in that too, World No4. now, could quite easily be out of T16 end of year
Luke_B_123
Premier league back up tonight! No fans but they are getting through the Prem over the next couple of weeks in the same venue. Some close run fixtures tonight: Nathan Aspinal vs Glen Durrant Rob Cross vs Jose De Sousa Peter Wright vs Johnny Clayton James Wade vs Gary Anderson Mvg vs Dimitri van den Bergh If I had to pick, I'd go Durrant, de Sousa, Wright, Wade, MVG. You can still have draws at the moment, so I can see a few of these. In terms of form I think Wade and Clayton have been in generally good form in the last 6 months, and Cross and MVG by their standards have been off form. My bet is going to be De Sousa, Wright and MVG treble (going for the tested quality and added de sousa vs hopefully an out of form cross.)

Normally about 9/2 but gave up after going about 2 years without even a treble. Durrant is really struggling with his game and has been for a while. He good be this year's Daryl Gurney of the Premier league.
Luke_B_123
Darts again tonight (think it's like every night now). Fixtures are: Anderson vs De Sousa Clayton vs Durrant Van den Bergh vs Aspinal Mvg vs Wright Wade vs Cross I think Clayton should be a shoe in vs Durrant, he seems to be well off form. Perhaps Wade to best Cross would be the other one to pick out for a win. Mvg and Aspinal games will surely be a draw or 1 leg in it.
Luke_B_123
Clayton brushes aside Durrant as expected. Dimitri and Aspinal share plenty of legs and Dimitri takes out 87 on the bull for 7-5. Just need over 10.5 legs in the mvg game and wade to beat cross for a 5/
