Went out with the family for lunch to the merchant city on old firm Sunday and missed the stabbings by literally minutes. Actually passed by the dudes as they were Celtic men rightfully buzzing after their team won. I'm a Rangers fan but rightfully keep my mouth shut win, lose or draw. I sometimes think both teams are a cancer on the city. Glasgow folk in general are the salt of the earth.

So very true mate.

Lost count how many fights I got into over the years and I'm not into football one bit,  You say you are from Airdrie so you will be well aware of good old Longriggend, was never an angel when i was younger and was in that place many times, seen many a free for all in the dinning hall after or before an old firm, was a real nasty place and Polmont YO's wasn't any better, North Wing was called NAM for a very good reason, if you wore good trainers in such places then you had to fight to keep them.

Grew up in a family of diehard fans, it's not until I lived in England for a few years did I realise that most people really don't care which religion you are. After that I deprogrammed myself and started to think logically. My missus is Catholic and her brothers are Celtic men, we get on fine, religion is never discussed with the exception of me asking Alexa to play the "Billy Boys" when her brothers come to visit lol.

Never been inside but i'm well aware of Longriggend, I remember reading Paul Ferris saying the standards and bullying from the prison guards were brutal. Makes the big hoose look like Butlins.

p.s. Witnessed 2 30 something Mothers wanting a square go outside the primary school gates at home time, all the little ones looking on at it WTF.

Been in them all mate apart from The Ranch - Low Moss,  nothing cool about that but was a big part of me growing up, had some of my best laughs inside a few nicks and also met some very top guys, even met Joe Bananas in Longriggend, by feck that boy could fight,  True Story - The screws hated him so one day they stuck him in a holding cell with 3 Cons that were down from Low moss who were also cooks, remand can't work so they send down Cons from convicted, the screws were at the wind up BIG TIME, I was standing in line for Canteen and only heard it, turned out the 3 Cons tried to take Joe's trainers off him and he smashed the 3 of them.

Crazy looking back at that and even more so how Joe and Bobby both came to an end.

I stuck a thread up on Paul Ferris and Ian Blink McDonald, they are very good, will dig it out again in a minute, played pool with Ian and he was a decent guy.

Aye it was a tough old city back then Bangers, someone was going to pay the ultimate price after Arthur Jnr got gunned down outside the Ponderosa. I would probably shit myself drinking in the same pubs as these bad boys. Glad to see your a changed man mate, beats having to keep a sharp eye behind your back all day. What prison was the worst for you?, ive heard Peterhead was a shithole. The big hoose didn't look the worst on the Ross Kemp documentary.

Didn't mate No

Paul Ferris was going through that massive trail at the time but never seen him as they always took straight to the Wendy House, my burd at that time would come and visit and ask why the copper chopper was hovering above but that was over his escort from the High court up to Bar-L

It would only fly away when he was under lock and Key

From what i remember that case is still the longest ever in history, he was some boy

I'm really into reading up on the Italian mafia and any book on gangsters in general, Paul Ferris reminds me of a Glaswegian Carlo Gambino in respect to the fact that he aint a big hard fucker like the late Arthur Thomson but a smaller, quieter guy with a sharp, intelligent mind. I understand that he is now a respectable businessman/author who lives a straight life, fair play. Saw Tommy Robinson have a public pop at Paul recently, think he's seriously misjudged the wee man.

Yeh agree

Hate reading but have read all the books and love any crime films, more so real life where you know that did really happen,  been right into all the Essex boys stuff recently,  some crazy shit happened with them that's never been fully explained and how others that were connected are still about.

I did get a buzz out of trouble when i was younger but lots of stuff caught up with me mate, trying to get Jobs or even a fecking Bank account, it drains you and gets you in the end.

So wish i took my phone today but when i left the house just had no reason for it and it does my nut in,  anyWHO take this on trust ok.  On my way to meet up with a few pals I normally walk down this lane near where i live, it's a nice lane but some bams keep fly tipping in it and a lot of the houses at the rear of the land are all pissed off at this every second day fly tipping, you see something new most days walking down this lane and today it looked really clean but right at the very end i could see a big twin style leather sofa type seat, bit like a couch, but as i got closer some fecking random dude was lying down sleeping on it, trainers off and one of those massive 3L bottles of coke on the ground at his head and skp-cap over the face.

Just laying there without a care in the world, nothing can shock you in many parts of Scotland but every now and then you see something new, it still doesn't surprise me.

Wish years ago i started a blog or vlog at all the weird stuff.

I went for a sparkying job at low moss and found out I couldn’t work for HMP because of my lovely cousin Robert O’Hara... piss easy job too, telling fudgers to fix lights and sitting on my fat arse for 45 grand a year. My cousin wasn’t even at low moss. He was in Edinburgh where my interview was.
