Congrats on the win and the cashout. Dream Vegas only hold on to withdrawals (pending) for 24-36 hours so it will soon be on it's way to your bank account :)

As Dream Vegas are part of White Hat, if you have used another casino in their group they hold ID centrally.

This is a classic story...... You indeed believe that you have it under control....But a 100 pound deposit says you don't.

If you had lost the 100.00 what would you have done??

Gone to another casino and deposited again ?

So since you now have a satisfactory conclusion ....what will you do wth the 900 withdrawal. ??

That is when you may or may not have control. That is when you will be tested .  Don't deceive yourself.  Its so easy to deposit 100.....if it wins ...all smiles... But control is about depositing what you can afford to lose... on a daily basis .... can you afford 100.00 per day ?? No.

Will the 900 go into a safe -no card account ? or will it be carefully fed back into the casino of your choice ??

Will you find some other obscure reason to deposit ?? YES.... and control ..... not proven.

Interesting

Yes I have complete control I would like to think I am a member of 5 online casinos and the new one I joined yesterday, the reason I joined that was for the 200% Bonus to be honest.

On all the sites I am on I have limits set to a very very low monthly deposit limit, so I would like to think that is under contol as well.

Re can I afford to lose £100 a day question, Yes probably for a few months, but would that ever happen never as like I say my limits are set etc and believe it or not the days of me spending loads have thankfully gone.

The money as explained went back into my original account and the rest was split £400 into a non cash card savings book with no instant access, and today I'm off to get my headphones I mentioned.

I understand the concern but there is honestly nothing to worry about, 10 years ago yes definitely it would have been a different picture.

Let me explain a little, about 11 years ago I lost my Father and at the same time was going through a Divorce I was 33, once the Divorce was finalised I had access to several hundred thousand pounds ( mainly from inheritance ) I had to make a decision. Carry on with the life I had IE Vegas at least 4 times a year etc or try and do something.

Luckily I gave up gambling as I was used to and set myself a monthly budget of £200, I was single on a good wage etc so it was well in my means, I then purchase two properties in Norwich one a new build that I and still do rent out (rent is now bringing in £700 pm) and another place that I'm still in.

I went part time at work and I only do 8 days a month now, I could in theory do less but I love my work ( I look after special needs young adults ) but the whole getting out of bed gives me a routine which works for me.

So i fully understand your concern and I appreciate it, but hopefully you can see by reading the above you can see these days my head is wired up correctly.

Absolutely do understand your perspective has changed for the better. I do hope my words will encourage you to be careful.  Moving forward must be done in slow and precise steps. Gambling can be a great joy or it can be soul destroying....from your words it is clear you have the right mindset to move forward responsibly.

keep the narrative truthful and I'm sure you will have great Year!!!

Yes I agree 100% with your words and your concerns my friend.

I think in all honesty if I had come into money when I was in my 20 years it would be a completely different story in fact I'm sure of it. In a strange way getting divorced helped as I was on a mission to prove to my ex wife I would not "blow it all"

Again as always thanks for good response, may I ask some of your background story Solario as you seem to be very wise on these topics so I am guessing you have lived a little?

My life must remain a closed book for the moment. But I can confirm I have met personal and financial tragedies along the way.  I have made enough mistakes  to have learned many of life's wisdoms and choose to display  some involvement here to alleviate the distress people encounter when Big business runs roughshod over society so that the few can trample over the many.  TGC is a perfect forum, there are many people here with divergent life experience --and  am learning more every day as we share our commonality and bury our differences in an accord of mutual understanding and a shared risk or two along the way.  All we need is for people to be truthful and up front , then we will dive in and assist where possible....

Hi all so today was for me another sign that it's all under control. I fancied a little go on Ghostslider for some reason, as you hardly see it played now. So I went onto a new Casino DreamVegas and deposited £100, this came with a 200% bonus as a new customer. I searched for where to upload my documents, as I always do but couldn't find it ( more of this later )

So I started on £2.00 spins and when down to £8.00 I hit the 10 spins, this went to ok I think for £32.00, so I plod on then I get it again and again then all the way up to 50 spins, so in total I had 90 free spins to play. It went ok and I ended on £902, now if course I was happy but it's such a bitch to bonus and very rare to get so many spins, so I sat there and do as we all do and think it should have been more lol.

Now to get to the point years ago I would have wanted to make that a nice round Thousand, but no I went and had a look at wagering etc and it turns out it was one of those Bonuses that as long as you didn't go into it you could forfiet it and withdraw.

So that's what I did, I then got in live chat and asked about documents, they came back quickly and said no need as they had verified me by something like the Global Verification System?

Has anyone heard of that?

I also asked if they could lock my withdrawal, but apparently they don't offer this, but I can freeze my account so that's what I have done.

So there I thought I would share this, I'm going to do what I always do with a nice win, I put the original money I spent back in my bank, then with the rest (£800) i put half in a savings account and I always treat myself to something with the other half, in this case I'm going to buy a new pair of Bluetooth headphones probably "Beats" I have done this for a while and it seems to work for me.

All very grown up if i do say so myself, but I still sit here thinking 90 spins on a hard machine it should have been more !!

What a delightful read Adam, if you can get the amounts that you might have wasted on deposits under control and the rest is not accesable, you are on the path, its a long path, but by the look of it and from parts of your life story to date in your posts, not only are you starting to be honest with yourself over your addiction|problem|stupidity, you are walking that path well!

The iGVS software is just one of many, automated kyc and age checking services, each time a signup is generated, it hits a sequence of checks, some differ from others, to basically just cover the licenced entity, from any misuse or dodgy funding ? As nicola has said, DV is part of Phil's lot and they are all square when paying out and being good eggs in the industry, a few WHG sites are not as good as others, but that all depends on the funding for marketing and the UX services the partnership allows to be supplied at $X rate per site.

Stellar stuff that you have concrete assets, yet you can admit, in an open public domain forum, that you may well not have Adam!

As for your head being wired up correctly... I recommend you get the Sony MK3's not anything to do with Beats headphones, they are the best you can buy for the range you have to spend out of your 50% treat wedge!!!!

Really lovely to hear that your gambling issues, has lead to your helping others, with special needs, that alone, deserves a massive TGC pat on the back and keep it up, even if it is only 8 hours a month, I bet you do a lot more than that to help them anyway!!!! ?
