In the interest of total honesty, obviously if I had wanted to continue, I totally would have.

Personal highlight for me: "it warmemy gonads deeply". If thats not worthy of the Nobel prize for Literature I dont know what is!

Great read, your writing style is very compelling! Can we sneak a peek at some of the content that made the cut?

Are your old streams still out in cyberspace?

That was a good read. You definitely have some kind of skill with writing as usually if someone posts something that long I get bored and either fall asleep or aggressively masturbate.

You could of been the next Rolla though. Sad times it's come to an end.

Unlikely that they are in reference to the streams. Some of the pieces I posted previously are in the book, although several of them incorporated into a longer story about a particular horse for example.

@Denman you're back!

Hope there's more to come. My personal favourite was surviving Scotland

Actually mine too, its definitely one of my go to stories to tell at dinner! I stayed true to the reality of the story as in that the horse won easily, it would have been more "exciting" if it were a photo finish, or more interesting if it had lost, in reality its quite an anti-climatic story. It was actually close to not making the cut in regards to the book and I considered taking a bit of an artistic license in regards to the ending, but ultimately stuck it in there as was written here.

I am quite aware of my bad grammar at times. Something people here don't pick up on or kindly don't mention here! I can usually fix it in a read through, but most of what I have posted here hasn't been read through. Personally I find the best approach to reading anything is to always be masturbating aggressively while doing so, at least until the flesh is tender, sore and sheathed with calluses.

Good read again @Denman no offense but I thought you was a tad older than being 30 odd a couple of years ago.

@Denman Are you going to publish it? If you want to test the waters I'll give it a read, the only books I've ever completed have been gambling related!

Maybe if your bored one day you could hit up a stream, just for the TGC to say hello and chat?

Another great though read though, cheers!

@Denman Do you remember the names of the posts to your other pieces? Had a quick look through your profile but you have contributed so much it may take some time to find. Perhaps I should be more patient 🤔

Maybe have DM on one of your new channels, as a "RollaGuest" or throw some of us into the mix on your forthcoming RQ&A, video, audio or just pre-recorded!

Thought that too, however, mine is always TTS and had to give @Denman a far eastern accent on the podcast playback, which made it even better!!

A compilation of bits of those found, could be made, been doing one on all of Paul's wins, loses and highlights, but not had time to finish it as of late 😉

Its a difficult decision for me. I would like to share it. My friend whom has read it thought it was really enjoyable and funny, but that it would appeal to a very niche audience and wouldn't sell (he is in publishing). I have paid for it to be proof read and edited professionally, which wasn't cheap and I have been looking at printing options, if only initially for like a few copies for myself or something, but that is equally as expensive and something that I may delay until a much later date.

They are all on the gambling stories forum, so should be very easy to find as it isn't the most used forum.

As for the streaming, I missed that. I don't really have any inclination to stream at current. It also sounds like a pretty dull potential stream! I don't even know what I would do as I wouldn't want to stream casino play.

If you have it "print" ready, the far more cost effective and wider to gain marketplace, would definetly be Amazon DM, you would only need to touch the outside of the top 10,000 lists to get some momentum and tagged sales, which would then lead to a much bigger, worldwide audience for the subject you have written upon.

Expenses would be nominal and you could control your own publishing empire of short stories or ditty's to your own hearts content, the platforms to market it to, would also be much easy to hit, instead of it sitting in some dingy corner of water stones or wh smiths, gathering dust on a SOR deal that would cost you 25x more to launch 🙂

You could then, simply follow up the "on line" side of some sales, with the wonderful up sell offer, to have X sent to X reader in X real world print format maybe?

Yes, my friend told me all about the options available. Its not something I have wrote with a profit in mind. If anything I would expect to make a loss. The simple reality is however, is that I work in the financial industry, stories about lavish gambling and such would be detrimental to my career, so its more likely that I won't follow through with any option at present.

Makes perfect sense DM, it is a subject that, regardless of the inabilities of others in the same industry to see, has nothing to do with gambling in the financial industry!

There are also [sure you already know!] many, many ways to skin an authors cat, ghost names, et el setups and even a woman, writing as a man, as a published woman have all worked to "mask" the negative side of what others connected to their real lives may be in..

If a PD path is not possible, maybe a "ghost name" on an audio version via TTS would be worth a few short segments of your stories?

Anyway, really enjoyed the chapter example up top and like others have mentioned, the way you have justified the elements of the experience above, really make a stellar read! 🙂
