Luke_B_123
Genesis Open! Been doing a bit of reading on it. It's set at the Riveria golf club, California, and whilst it's close to the coast, it's far enough away (looks like 1000m ish) to not have much Links feel / play about it. Apparently the roughs have some imported grass that's taken over the rough sections of the course, and whilst the first cut is okay for driving, anything further out will be horrible to control. JB Holmes won last year, with t50th for driving distance and accuracy, but t2nd for GIR. Year before was won by Bubba who finished t7th GIR and the year before DJ with top driving distance, and 1st for GIR. With this in mind I'm only going to back one of my favourite golfers in the last 3-4 years Xander Schauffle - he's finished top 15 both the times he's played here and he also grew up in California, so hoping that counts for a little more. His current form also has him 10th on the tour for GIR this year at around 75%. There are a few others I'm considering - Cantlay (on fire in GIR and was 2nd on the tour last week in this regard, down to 6th now) Rahm - also top 10, but odds are too short, so I think I'm going for Matsuyama. On both GIR (tied 10th with Xander) and on law of averages - he's due a good finish on the tour sooner rather than later surely. One to avoid (or perhaps have a brave punt on!?!) Koepka at around 25/1, he's had a few niggly injuries and this is his first tour event in a while. It's probably the biggest odds you'll find him all year, but that's not enough to tempt me in - gotta be sensible! Good luck all Edited February 13, 2020 by Luke_B_123 Typo
Luke_B_123
Matsuyama, Cantlay and Schauffle all finish the last day well, but gve themselves too much to do earlier on. Matsuyama ties 5th, 3 shots behind the lead for a v. Small prof overall. Cantlay - 3 best score of the final round almost to finish 5 shots behind tied 17th, and 1 shit behind that Schauffle on T27. Shame they couldn't of nailed it earlier, but good tourn vs a strong field.

Shame they couldn't of nailed it earlier, but good tourn vs a strong field. Unlucky Luke. I finally managed to double up on the top 10 thanks to Joel Dahmen. I done Adam Scott in an ew treble with Bezhuidenhout in south Africa but my woman golfer let me down after sitting T6 overnight shot a +5 final round. so not even an ew treble. I had Scott Brown at 400/1 ew, and was hoping, before Scott birdied 17, we might get a play off....no such luck. But its been a good couple of weeks after a shaky start. I been doing Max Homa for the last month, he was big 3 figure prices a month ago, now 50/1 even in a loaded field like this, too short for me, so left him out, just glad he didn't win. My top 2 fancies were leishman and Bubba tbh, and both failed, despite coming well out in front in my stats. Just WGC &, USPGA this week!! I spoke to Shades last week, and he is either back next month or deffo for The Masters. Which is good as he has more knowledge than me. Good Luck!

Crunchie
my top 2 ew fancies Ancer and Vegas come T12 and T9 so close, just not close enough. I toyed with Josh Teater at 125/1 and Na at 100/1 but left em out, closest I would have got to a decent ew shot this week. Very disappointing on the whole. But I know not many will read this, but I wanna know people's thoughts on young Norwegian Viktor Hovland. The worlds top amateur not to long ago and now racking up his first pro tour victory this weekend. He really will be one to follow this season, will deffo need another couple of wins to get Ryder Cup recognition, but I wouldn't like to say he couldn't do it, at 22 looks an exciting talent. In fact one more good showing in the coming weeks would get him into The Masters, he's currently No.60 on the world rankings. After that rubbish week Im happy there are no limited fields this week, Asian tour and Euro tour are both back!!

Crunchie
GTFIT Phil....I preferred others to him this week @philinvicta most I would have done is an ew treble with him in. what odds was he? (I got Fleetwood, Berger, Woodland and Westwood in the top 8...with nothing) Had the winner in Oman at 250/1 in my bets. Kennedy 14/1 won in NZ, Langer won the seniors 11/1 and if David Kochar wins the probable play off on the Korn Ferry I wont be happy, only had him top 10 in a different bet and he was 150/1. I had Pereira the overnight leader, but he was only 33's, just had a nightmare round and still might make the play off too. George Coetzee was my top bet in Oman at 50's. Just plain forgot to include him in a top 10 bet. Would have had 2 trebles up! Just couldn't match em up this week. Onwards!!

I usually do a few speccy ew doubles on my outsiders. Just not these pair together. You know what the ew double is on those 2 longshots, just under 40,000/1, even 10p ew was 4k. Shades111
top tier golf returns !!! .... oh iv missed you !!! been a while since i graced this page , did post an explanation for my absence , but thats all behind me now and im eager and happy to be back . so we got 2 decent tournaments starting thursday from the PGA and Korn Ferry in the U.S , also there is KLPGA ladies event and a small tour event , a lot of the big names are entered in the main U.S event so it should be an entertaining week , obviously there will be no crowds , personally i cannot see this having much affect on anything . but it could be a good week or weeks to actually pick a few randoms as we have no clue how these players are going to perform after a pretty big break . so who am i going for , well as i always do i tend to avoid the top 10% of the market as i seek bigger value , iv had quite a few bets which i will post below in no particular order . £6 win Sunny Kim 20/1 in the disney palm small event 16 x 40p eachway doubles Hoag 50/1 Hearn 66/1 Etulain 150/1 Riley 50/1 onto Wolff 150/1 Zhang 300/1 Norlander 400/1 Mitchell 200/1 24 x 50p eachway doubles Jaeger 100/1 Dou 100/1 onto Niemann 80/1 Hovland 60/1 onto Lee6 10/1 JH Oh 40/1 8 x 50p eachway doubles Wolfe 70/1 Thornberry 125/1 onto HK Park 22/1 JY Park 80/1 £3 eachway double ted potter 50/1 Abraham Ancer 66/1 £4 top10 double Svensson 13/2 Munoz 14/1 £4 eachway double Morikawa 35/1 Murray 45/1 £4 eachway Matthew Wolf 150/1 £12 win Lee6 (ladies) 10/1 £10 Zinjun Zhang top20 14/1 20 x 25p eachway doubles potter 75/1 hoag 35/1 svensson 110/1 jaeger 175/1 onto hovland 55/1 wolf 100/1 KH Lee 300/1 van rooyen 125/1 conners 125/1 may place a few added singles on some of the above names before events start , but very doubtful i will add players . roll on thursday , good luck all !!
Shades111
morning all , sadly no excitement on last weeks return to the fray , was tempted to reload sunday morning but didnt , i would not have done any good so saved a few quid in the end , could of done with Morikawa winning that playoff though as it would of put me one leg away from pulling off my season request a bet . so on to a new week we go , and the korn ferry tour starting later today and the main tour going tomorrow as usual . due to my deposit limits not refreshing till midnight tonight i had to have all my bets so far in local shop so iv unfortunately got under the odds on a few players , but missing a few points here and there is not a problem if they contend as golf prices are always good anyway . picks in no particular order £7 eachway Zinjun Zhang 66/1 £4 eachway stephan Jaeger 150/1 £4.50 eachway Mathew Wolff 175/1 £7.50 eachway Joaquin Niemann 100/1 16 x 25p eachway doubles thornberry 175/1 etulain 150/1 tarren 125/1 sigg 55/1 onto koepka 40/1 johnson 40/1 Im 33/1 Ancer 55/1 16 x 25p eachway doubles hatton 50/1 fowler 50/1 hovland 66/1 scheffler 66/1 onto Wu 40/1 Zhang 66/1 Hoag 40/1 Nunez 66/1 20 x 20p eachway doubles svensson 125/1 whee kim 300/1 jesus rodriguez 125/1 Hahn 40/1 onto morikawa 25/1 Niemann 100/1 List 125/1 munoz 225/1 conners 100/1 Good luck all !!
