  1. The No EW Fannies, York Racing Bonanza Comp Will Run From 17th August to 20th August For All You Racing Enthusiasts AKA - York Ebor Festival Ok, this will be 2 competitions running alongside one another. The main competition - will be a 'win only' comp dedicated to our one and only Pumpkin Head from the Midlands @VillaLad. For everyday at the York festival you will have to pick 3 horses and put each one as either a 30pt win, a 20pt win, or a 10pt win. The winner at the end of the competition will get a prize as decided by @MrUKHackz The knockout competition - is sponsored by @Solario333 For this competition you will have to pick one horse that is 2/1 or above SP that will WIN. To progress to day 2 your horse MUST win. If it loses you are out of this competition and are just left in the main competition. The players through to day 2 have to repeat the process each day until we are left with a winner. Winner £35 and 2nd place £15. ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK AND POP YOUR NAME DOWN TO SHOW YOUR INTEREST SO WE CAN GET IDEA OF NUMBERS
  2. After the thrill of last years darts competition, I thought I would run it again this year. The World Championships start next Wednesday and finish on Jan 3rd. Like last year, this will be a question based contest, and hopefully they are more 50/50 than last years Rules: There are 12 questions this year, 6 based on players and 6 based on scores and stats. You simply have to answer yes or no to each question. In addition, I have added the staking element from a contest in the summer comp. So you have 'stakes' of all numbers from 1 - 12. Whatever is your most confident prediction, stake 12, and so on down to your least confident pick which will be allocated 1. It should look something like this: 1. yes 10 points 2. yes 9 points 3. yes 2 points 4. no 8 points etc etc There will a trophy AND a cash prize awarded to the winner, so get studying those darts stats!! Questions: 1. Will a Welsh player win the tournament? 2. Will a Dutch player reach the final? 3. Will a non top 8 seed reach the semi finals? 4. Will a non top 16 seed reach the quarter finals? 5. Will a female player reach at least round 3? 6. Will 3 or more top 32 seeds be eliminated before round 3? 7. Will there be 7 or more 170 checkouts? 8. Will there be more than 850 180 scores in the tournament? 9. Will any player average over 106 in a single game? 10. Will there be a 9 dart finish in any game? 11. Will the tournament winner have a tournament average of over 99? 12. Will more than 25 matches go to a deciding set? Best of luck to all entrants
  3. Afternoon folks, this is basically a copy and paste of last year's thread. For obvious reasons last year's comp was cancelled but we're going to give it another go this year and hope for the best. Games throughout the season are likely to be called off/postponed and what not, but we'll just have to see. To keep it as simple as possible: * Predict the results of 6 matches each week. A point for each correct prediction * Predict the winning margin for your chosen teams, bonus point for each correct prediction (1-5, 6-10, 11-15 etc) * 2 League points for the winner of a match, 1 point each for a draw * Bonus (League) point for anyone scoring 12 during any game round (Also a small wheel spin for the first person to do so) * League Champion crowned at the end of the regular Rugby League season * Playoff matches to follow the end of the regular season with the top 6 playing knockout games (benefit to those who finish higher) Each round of the Super League features 6 matches and every game will count during each game week. As per the football, players will be given a point for a correct prediction (Home win, draw, away win). Those who love to stick down all draws in the football, well, beware because they do not happen that often in League! A draw is also for the result after 80 minutes, as golden point is in play this season which is basically sudden death. Mr Rolla has again very kindly confirmed a prize pool, meaning the following prizes will be available: Small wheel spin for the highest points total over each 5 game weeks (4 for the last one). This is the scoring points total (prediction total, max of 60 points) across each of the 5 game weeks and not the total points won £150 Prize for the winner of the regular season or a spin on the mega prize wheel (winners choice) £100 Prize for the winner of the playoffs The first match of the 2021 Betfred Super League takes place on Friday 26th March and so this is obviously when the competition will start. If you want to have a look through the 2019 topic (with also a much more in-depth explanation) then see here: This is open to all who want in, but, we need an even number so unfortunately it'll be first come first served with the last person not being included should they be an odd bod. The prediction matches for each round will be drawn randomly by me, it is possible that not everyone will play each other throughout the season. It will solely be down to luck of the draw who you get but I will keep a record of who has played who to avoid duplicates (unless required). Anyway, the prediction league will run until the end of the regular season with a winner being awarded then. There will then be playoff games (run in the same format as the way league is itself) this means the top 6 players in the league will take part in knockout games. I will sort and list details for this closer to the date (a long time away yet) in order to try and save on any confusion. Please can you let me know if you want to enter, do keep in mind this is a long competition but where ever you are in the league you still have the wheel spins to play for. To save messing about please do not enter the comp if you are going to get bored and not enter your scores etc.

  5. It is already that time of the year again. Royal Ascot is less than 2 weeks away!! And we are having our usual TGC tipping competition. There are 5 days of action with 7 races per day and it all gets underway on June 15th. Prizes will be confirmed shortly, but both competitions will earn the winner an ever sought after We will have the main competition and also a KO competition running alongside it. Appreciate an 'Im in' or something along those lines to gauge numbers. RULES: Main comp - Each player is allocated 100pts per day to use on that days racing. Players MUST have a selection in EVERY race. Minimum stake is 10 win or 5 ew. Any and all staking accepted as long as the total staked does not exceed 100. To help avoid tactical changes, only non runners can be replaced with another selection, and all changes must be made prior to the first race of each day. Any NR's/WD's after the off of the first race will automatically go on the favourite to win. For fairness, any entries after the off of the first race will be void for that day. KO Comp - The KO cup will use the same selections as the main comp with a 1 v 1 between players. I think we stumbled upon a good selection process for the KO cup during the Cheltenham festival and depending on the amount of entries, we will either have the top 16 or top 32 scorers on the first day qualifying for the KO cup which will therefore begin on the Wednesday. Any ties in the KO cup will be decided by best placing of non scoring selection, and if still a tie, shortest distance beaten will determine. Any questions, just ask.
  6. As per the last 2 years I am again sponsoring the ' How Many Goals scored in the Premiership '' competition , and a second Prize for which team scores the most Goals , and a third Prize for which team concedes the most goals in a single match... 1st Prize £50 cash 2nd Prize £25 cash 3 rd prize £25 cash All entries are already in and I will announce the winners after the last premiership game ..... an update of entries will follow this post .
  7. I am considering running a competition for the Breeders Cup that takes place on 6th/7th November. It will be slightly different to the normal horse racing competitions in the scoring sense, as the US tote prices will determine the points. Full rules and details will be provided closer to the time, assuming enough want to play. So drop a message on this thread if you intend to have a go, and we will go from there. All welcome as usual, and any newcomers that are about, feel free to join in the fun.
  8. Right folks, short notice but hows this, you guess how many minutes and seconds the whole of Saturdays Big Fight card lasts and whoever gets the closest wins a signed and framed Ricky Hatton boxing glove that I won in a charity auction, ready? Lets go Champ! ?? Heres the card Andy Ruiz Jr Vs Anthony Joshua (12 Rounds) 36 Minutes Alexander Povetkin Vs Michael Hunter (12 Rounds) 36 Minutes Filip Hrgovic Vs Eric Molina (12 Rounds) 6 Minutes 57 Seconds Dillian Whyte Vs Mariusz Wach (10 Rounds) 30 Minutes Mahammadrasul Majidov Vs Tom Little (8 Rounds) 4 Minutes 11 Seconds Majidov won in round 2 KO - stoppage at 1:49 of Round 2 Ivan "Hopey" Price Vs Swedi Mohamed (4 Rounds) 6 Minutes 34 Seconds Price won Round 3 KO - stoppage at 2:26 Round 3 So that is 6 fights that are all scheduled for This Saturday, each round is potentially 3 mins long so if all 6 fights went the distance it would be 174 mins, so no guessing over that number! You have until Saturday around 6pm to get your guesses in, Good Luck!
  9. In the words of Bruce Buffer, ITS TIME! Below is the results of the Bonus Buy Giveaway #2, @Rocknrolla also said to spin the top TGC members wheel for a bonus prize too, so theres 6 chances to win, have you won? Lets find out!!
  10. ** Long winded explanation of the ins and outs.... scroll towards the bottom of this post for a bullet point list to give an idea! Choose a team to win. Choose a margin they will win by, that is basically it ** Right then ladies and gents, not sure who may be up for this one but in a similar format to the Football competition which is running I'm starting up a prediction comp' for the up and coming Rugby League season. If people think there's already too much going on then we'll just leave this one. The first match of the 2019 Betfred Super League takes place on the 31st of January and so this is obviously when the competition will start. Each round of the Super League features 6 matches and every game will count during each game week. As per the football, players will be given a point for a correct prediction (Home win, draw, away win). Those who love to stick down all draws in the football, well, beware because they do not happen that often in League! A draw is also for the result after 80 minutes, as golden point is in play this season which is basically sudden death. In addition to predicting the winner you will also need to stick down a winning points margin for the chance to add an additional point to your score for that match. The points margins will be the same as the betting margins which (from memory, so this is to just be used as an example for now) are something like 1-5, 6-10, 11-15 etc. The point for the chosen margin will only be awarded should it be the team you choose to win though! With this in mind, anyone correctly predicting a draw gains themselves 2 points for that match. This is open to all who want in, but, we need an even number so unfortunately it'll be first come first served with the last person not being included should they be an odd bod. The prediction matches for each round will be drawn randomly by me, it is possible that not everyone will play each other throughout the season. It will solely be down to luck of the draw who you get but I will keep a record of who has played who to avoid duplicates (unless required). The maximum possible points for each round is 12 and the winner of each match is obviously the one who scores highest. Each winner will be given two points for the table and a draw scores 1 point for each player. A bonus point will also be given to anyone scoring 12 points for any given game round. On a SERIOUS note, anyone who takes part in this competition and refers to this wonderful game in a derogatory manner WILL be deducted a point from the table. Terms such as egg chasers will most definitely NOT be tolerated! Anyway, the prediction league will run until the end of the regular season with a winner being awarded then. There will then be playoff games (run in the same format as the way league is itself) this means the top 5 players in the league will take part in knockout games. I will sort and list details for this closer to the date (a long time away yet) in order to try and save on any confusion. Sorry this is a long winded one (as normal for these things) but in short: * Predict the results of 6 matches each week. A point for each correct prediction * Predict the winning margin for your chosen teams, bonus point for each correct prediction * 2 League points for the winner of a match, 1 point each for a draw * Bonus (League) point for anyone scoring 12 during any game round * League Champion crowned at the end of the regular Rugby League season (total of 24 matches for this comp) * Playoff matches to follow the end of the regular season with the top 5 playing knockout games (benefit to those who finish 1-3) Mr Rolla has kindly confirmed a prize pool meaning the following prizes will be available: £10 free bet (or £10 cash should you not want to bet) for the highest points total over each 6 game weeks (5 for the last one). This is the scoring points total (prediction total, max of 72 points) across each of the 6 game weeks and not the total points won £150 Prize for the winner of the regular season or a spin on the mega prize wheel (winners choice) £50 Prize (or spin on the wheel) for the winner of the playoffs Anyway, if people can give me a heads up so I have an idea on numbers (or not) that'd be great ?
