Does anyone have any contacts there? I'm off in July for 4 nights to meet up with some friends. I don't gamble a lot so signing up for loyalty cards etc to get comps via gambling is pretty much pointless. I'm a member of M Life but even with that, rooms are still quite expensive in their line of hotels. I could stay in Circus Circus for a relatively quite cheap stay but you get what you pay for, been there before and it wasnt the best tbh so I thought I would ask if anyone knows anyone. Failing that, @Rocknrolla can always book me a room with his millions of loyalty points he has, thanks Paul lol Thanks in advance...

Loads to do mate, this is my 7th trip there and its changed a lot since I last went. I just don't want to be paying through the nose for a bed.

As someone recently discharged from a therapist, I can whole heartedly agree with the sentiments in the posts above but I can tell you first hand how embarassing it is to ask for help. It took me a long long time despite people commenting on "youre not the same" and "maybe you should talk to someone". It's always easier to say i'm ok when the star reality is, you're probably not. I had the thoughts that people had regards suicide and only the fact my daughter came and snuggled in bed with me one morning and told me how much she loved me, kept me from doing anything about it. It's all too easy to shut down and think you dont want to trouble anyone with your problems because they have enough of their own. Its all too easy to think i'll keep it in for a bit and maybe it'll go away. I can assure you that you're kidding yourself. Walking into counselling that first day was probably one of the worst days of life as I thought i had let so many people down and considering myself to be broken and thinking nobody gave a fuck. It couldn't be further from the truth. Walking out of there the first time was something else. I wasn't cured, i wasn't unbroken but what I was..was discussing it with someone who explained to me that i'm not a scumbag, i'm not letting anyone down and people love me. Mine wasn't down to gambling in any way shape or form, mine was other stuff and it took 2 year for her to say she's happy for me to move on and start rebuilding my life and when I got home that final time, my wife was still there, my daughter was still there, you lot were, my friends were. Everyone you know and love are still there and they're always going to be helpful. One thing I learnt is tht if they're not going to help you, sack them off and get that bullshit out of your life. I'd do anything for anyone of my friends and for most on here, stranded somewhere, reach out and i'll come get you, even if it takes 4 hours to drive there...i'm straight in the car....need a few quid, if i have it...it's yours, pay me back whenever. It took me to go to the edge and look over it to realise what it's important in my life, not grow the fuck up, step away from the edge and ask for help...you know you want it and there are people out there who want to give it. Please, take it from someone who knows, it helps.

Such a shame, I don't know why some people think that kind of thing is acceptable....ever.

I don't understand it. I thought it predominantly died in the late 80's / early 90's. I've been watching Forest since the late 80's. Went to my first game in 89. Didn't miss a home from from 1990 through till 2001, bought a new season ticket in 2005-2007. I never saw any violence. In the last couple of years of holding a season ticket, I sat in what's called 'A' block which is where most of the singing etc comes from and is considered 'rough' but never saw anything there. I became good friends with the 2 in front of us and the 2 to the back to the point where we would meet up outside of football. I've been to countless away games including our local derby against Derby County and again, never saw anything. Maybe i've been lucky and managed to avoid it but I honestly thought it was a thing of the past aside from a very small minority. Obviously i'm wrong and this gives me a sad face.

Just watched a few races back from today. Energumene had a couple of shifty jumps in the last 3 jumps. Could have been a different story had he jumped a little better. Especially 2nd last. Jonbon was very novicey and doesn’t seem to have the gears that Douvan had, so far. Suspect he’ll still keep coming along.
